I'm 17 stone and have mobility problems. Somebody I know told me how roomy their MX5 was (they have two - one in UK and another at their holiday home abroad) and gave me the key to try it out for myself. Very pleasantly surprised especially as auto versions available.

Mk1 MX 5 still in my bucket list.
One day there will be one on our drive. Just need to find a really cheap one that still delivers.
Well done on the purchase.

Just need to find a really cheap one that still delivers. They never stop delivering. buy a really cheap one with a bit of MoT left on it. then you'll be hooked and will want to get a more expensive one that'll last longer.

Do this and once bitten either hold out for bargain upgrades or get a better one either way it's a must car

Just asked the question in another thread..... I have this Chevy truck now, but I want something that Nicola can use to work and back, about 15 miles a day. The idea of starting cheap and being able to change colour and add bits like cheap upgrades... see comment above, and still sell for what you paid a year or two later, unless you become one with it, appeals to me. I love the cammo greens, and satin finishes, so a cheap, possibly rattle can repaint would be on the cards, so paint is not important, but mechanicals for her will be important.

There's one in Devon on PH for £750 that looks a good starting point.
My wife's second car was an MX5 I drove it every opportunity I could, awesome little car.
