After literally working through the night to insure that the, pictured below, westfield will meet its customers deadline, i loaded it up and set off for my mates rolling road in basildon. So while i was there i decided to take some pics for you all of the other cars they had in. Ultra rare Nash Healey: Californian E-Type: Another beautiful and mint E-Type: Daimler 250 V8: XJS-R: Very shiny Mk2: And a Lancia Fulvia Sport i believe: The Mk2 and the Mk2 in daimler guise have both convinced me that its high time i got my Mk2 out of the garage, fire it up give it a wash and take some pics for you all. Afterwards i went on a retro mission with daverapid as can be viewed in readers rides. Phew what a day, now time to sleep.

Thats one busy day, my word! I like the look of that XJS-r, anyone got any info on the model as ive never heard of it? J If its what i'm thinking off, they are actually called XJRS. It was a model built by Jagsport, a company half owned by Jag and TWR. They started life as a standard 5.3 XJS, which were uprated to 6.0 ltr with there own spec cams and bits and pieces. Don't know much about the cars themselves, but I think they had uprated suspension and possibly brakes, as well as a body kit. It was eventually killed off when Jag upgraded the V12 to 6.0 ltr in the standard XJS, which had about the same amount of power. However, the XJRS was in some ways superior. I know it had forged pistons, whereas the std Jag only had cast pistons. So the XJRS would be better if further tuning was planned, I think they also red lined at 6500 rpm compared to 6000 for the standard Jag. Jagsport was eventually killed off completely not too long after Ford bought Jag if I remember right. I've never heard of a Nash Healey, has anybody got more details on these? Sean
