I've owned this beauty for 2.5 years but its just got to the stage where I'm happy to show it off!
It's been a local car all its life - An osteopath owned it and used it for his shopping trips to Swansea until 1989 when it was laid up. I bought it in October 2008 and it looked a little down at heel being full of parking dents but it was 100% solid, the interior was very clean and it drove like new.
However, I wanted it perfect so I set about sympathetically modifying it for modern roads. The 3 speed autobox is now a rebuilt 5 speed manual box using a shortened shifter so it looks original. The original Solex carb is gone in place of a new Weber, I've fitted GTE electronic ignition, a three core rad, gas shocks and lowered springs and Goodridge hoses. Every bit of the car has been taken off and either replaced with new where needed or cleaned and refitted. The chrome is all new - the wheel rings cost £120 each
I've fitted loads of NOS bits like the uber rare N/S mirror, brand new shrouded headlamps (£400
)
