Well that's it then...the Herald has officially reached it's lowest selling price. It's good really, I really do need the space - and the money. When I placed the ad on ebay I remember thinking what a co-incedence it was that the listing ended on the 10th, the same day as my birthday. It's only today, as the reserve was met - that I realised that I was actually selling my dream car ON MY BIRTHDAY! D'oh. The reality is that I realised a while ago that a car is just a car, there's always more and there's no such thing as a keeper. I was lucky to have it while I did...better to have loved and lost and all that eh? I wonder if I can get a Supra lump in the Cressida?

Oooh yeah! I've seen quite a few Mk2 Supras knocking around the scrappers and those engines look great!
I can sympathise with that "oh sh*t" feeling when the reserve is met on something you really like but want to sell - sort of glad and sad at the same time!
Did you buy the Herald as it is or did you do the mods? Looks fantastic btw - if I had the cash I'd definately bid!

Rmad, I sympathize with your lost, but just remember the good times, the bad and why you had to get rid of her! There's plenty more fish etc etc
Oh, happy birthday by the way. Lets hope the missus' surprises you with that Datsun 510 with a Silvia turbo engine......

Well, bidding finished at £4600...not a bad price I'd say, another of my old Triumphs goes abroad (the winning bidder is based in Germany)...it's the fame you know, goes to their heads! Birthday pressie wise, the missus did buy me a Datsun: This little fella - but in black. I'm stoked that she was in tune with me enough to spot my current J-fetish.

I got one of those! Really neat model too.
It is amazing how receptive women are to our needs sometimes. I got a fantastic mid seventies Japanese car top trump set, which really surprised me.
