Wow, I never knew about this place! I knew of Victoria Station but I'm definitely going to go and have a poke around the place. Very nice location for a shoot, those photos are great!

Retford I think. I mean that there is a spooky old abandoned mental institution near Retford, not that Retford itself is a mental institution.... Its got quite the feature on 28dayslater Dean, the Broadmarsh Arches are behind where Midland Magneto used to be on Canal street. Sadly this tiny photo is all that remains of their ace art deco workshops They used to have some mad 1930s electric car in there as a very long term project. Not sure if its up in the new workshops. I've not been. Have an ancient bus advert for them though. I've driven one of those ex-NCT double deckers.

Cornish looks boarded up and derelict. But the door handle is still shiny.
Are they still in business???
edit: a quick check finds they still have a listed phone number and are in the Kelly's register under "gear setters and cutters" and "general engineering services". Wow.

Cracking pictures Ak! Know that feeling of oop better be leaving now. One thing I have learnt is DO go back to these places, soooner rather than later. Before you know it they will of been defaced/blocked off or squashed! I'm still to go and do some 'after' pictures of a old hospital that me and Rich (300C Pimp) explored which got flattened only a few weeks after out visit. Shame you cant lose your front plate looks really awkward where it is. (looks minging too )

I keep meaning to replace that plate but get all indecisive about what to replace it with...

Great location and pictures Can't picture exactly where these would be - the other side of the railway arches to the back entrance to the broadmarsh I guess. Off to google maps.........

Rampton Hospital is near Retford, and that's still very much in use. Here, in the spirit of your post, have a song off the album Rampton by Teeth of Lions Rule the Divine. Anyway, enough mental hospital talk and shouty music sharing. Some very cool pics there, that's a little gem of a photo location. Shame it will probably get redeveloped into something faceless, but I'm sure successive generations have said that about all redevelopment and different styles of architecture since ever...

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

70s or 60s wheels on a late 80s car? Dunno if that works for me. Wheel change coming up though...
