Last night was Aprils Leeds HotRod/Classic meet, its the first one Ive been to so far this year and it seems an awful lot of hot metal was making it first apperance since last autumn.
I'd been at work, so by the time I got there the place was packed, but I managed to find a little spot a couple of rows deep.
Bumped into a couple of familiar faces, MorrisOxide and his dad, and Ben with his sleeper polo (which I managed to take no pics of )
But, onto the pics I did take....
Subtle badging
Yacht
A good mantra
Hide-away lights look so good closed as do big inch mags.
Nice, individual looking rod.
Bucktooth
GT350 looked proper
DeSoto. Ive captured this before, but its since gained some red steels
These two always seem to travel and park together, gasser looks to have had work down over the winter.
RV8 powered mk2 Cortina was well sorted, unfortunately my only pic of the whole car came out blurred
Plenty of pinstriping about
Damn straight Mk2 Golf, there was a couple of these knocking about
Serious Skyline
An aircraft carrier for A5
Sweet little Pop had a period feel and some period underbonnet mods
UNCHOPPED MERC' SHOCKER...
I'm curse word at ID'ing older stuff, but I guess this is a Business Coupe or something. I loved it anyways....
Pair of Chevys
New Camaro, must go well with a 6.2 (is that a 383ci in old money?)
Cheeky little 100e
My 'take home' car of the night. I properly love these Firedomes.
I played chicken with a certain Oxford, before blagging a cheeky lift around the carpark
I still love this, and its still as fresh as the day it was painted I look forward to seeing your new toy
I was passed by some thunder
This seemed even smaller than usual with such oversized company
I clocked this as it arrived. Hard as.
ex-AKKU mobile wearing its new, flashy wheels.
there was a fair amount of matte black knocking about
Show me your war-face.. GGGRRRR
I loved this, had an 80's streetmachine feel to it. With dolly sprint running gear, metal bodykit and little details. I wish I'd taken pics of the seats, they were very period...
Another 100e, not that thats a bad thing
Ford Prefect, again, with a streetmachine twist
Teutonic standoff
This was pretty serious. Less paint=less weight. As it left it sounded like he was having a pig of a job just keeping it running. Vicious cam profile methinks
Flames and rake. Win-win?
I was feeling this, it has a good look going on
Very nice mk2 Capri, Ive seen this a few times
Hello there
I spy with my little eye....
...a tasty old Saab.
BigBlock Beauty
This escort was immaculately turned out....
....as was its Capri friend. Xpack goodness
and finally, a shot of the Prelude looking deeply uncool in such company.
So, there you go. Another month, another bandwidth frying thread. I look forwards to May.
