I suspect that the things that look like drilled brake disks are actually just cosmetic covers, perhaps hiding stock drum brakes!  |

Hmm, you may have cracked it there sherlocck, seeing as it has no 'calipers'!! Could still have standard front disk brakes, which would look tiny in 20" wheels or whatever they are. |

I suspect it's drums all round!  Its not on drums all round, they are just 'wheel clean' disks. I have them fittted on my Buick, they are fitted over the hub to help keep brake dust off of rims. They look gash, I agree, I just cant be assed to take the wheels off to remove them. |

Yes I know it's got "wheel clean (fake brake disc)" covers but I know early Chevelles had drums front and rear....just wondered if that was what was hiding under there ;D

I hope someone didn't go to the trouble of fitting boyd parts, and funky dash and all the retrimming, just to keep drums, and then try to fake disks.

That Rapid with "recent MOT". The MOT expires in October. Still tempted though. The 18 year old owner is selling because the insurance is too high. Seen underside photos. Looks OK, little crusty but not weetabix. Still tempted, but Skodastop is going to visit today, so I guess as he arranged first he gets first dibs. And if it is that good, he will buy it. Passenger side sill Brake pipe might be a little over corroded. Under the rear end looks a bit oily, but the drive shaft covers look very clean. The saddlebag tank pipe is looking a little ropey though. Under the front end Again, scruffy, but solid. So, would it put anyone off as a daily driver, and does anything jump out as being an MOT problem from those and the Ebay photos? I woudl love it, and it has to be a daily driver though, not a project. |

the brake pipes go on those. no bother really, get copper brake pipes fitted. main thing really is rust - cant stress that enough. check out the sills, Rapid's go at the bottom of the rear arches. also the usual - windscreen/A pilar, rear windscreen, arches, and front inner wings. the underside looks solid enough to me. how many miles has it done? and the current owner - wimp! 'insurance is too high' - well yeah, 1300cc Sports Coupe there!  ;D  |

but I know early Chevelles had drums front and rear....... Mine doesn't. It has discs on the front. And that isn't an Early chevelle either.  |

It has done apparently 16k miles. Yes 16k miles. they reckon the engine is ok too? my 23k Rapid had a blown headgasget I'd probably go and look over it first before buying it. |
