Others have said that about the washing too.
but I have a theory. Dad/Grandad dies. Car is hauled out of sheltered housing garage and photo'd ready to be sold for spares. Local adverts don't get any response (how NE and Yorkshire branch missed that), so he plans to ebay it, MOTs it to see what it fails on, and all it needs is tyres. Instead of sticking it on for £50 for parts, he sticks it on for £400 as a goer. It is still Sorned ATM. He starts the listing, and realises he doesn't have any clean photos, so decides that if someone wants it, they will bid at £400 because it isn't in bad shape as it is, and they will know how rare it is..

That does look like good value when you consider it's only a couple of days easy work to finish!

A picture really does says a thousand words. I'm glad I'm not the only one that makes these stories up in my head...

vw might be worthy of a new thread about those CX's. I reckon there is a good network of helpers and advice on www.cxclub.co.uk or similar. There was threads on BX's XM's and Citroens. have a search see what comes up, you may need to limit the search so it doesnt balls up.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts
