I'm going to spray the Pug this summer and I'm after some inspiration. Initially I was going to get it done in Miami blue (original) but add metal flake or something to give it a twist. But yesterday a mate said about going with a theme, e.g. fighter jet. Have rivets air brushed along the panels, stencils for the 'ejector seat' spray it grey. What do you think? Below is a jpeg that can be played with in PS, if anyone is bored i13.photobucket.com/albums/a289/adamtait/puggered2.jpg

I think you should paint it in 'canal barge' green or maroon, with hand-painted 'fancy' copperplate writing with pictures of flowers. Top off with a plastic duck on the roof and polished brass door handles. Lovely.

I wonder what a S1 106 would look like with the S2 indigo blue rallye paint? I really do like that German XSi. Wheels are bang-on. How about the currently in vogue Nato green camo job?

I think you should go for the ‘1988 comprehensive school library’ look which is magnolia painted directly over bricks (obv you’ll need to get the brick texture right) with little flecks of dried red and blue paint on top of the magnolia. Then some frizzy red nylon industrial carpet on the lower sections of the body, and a copy of ‘The Grapes of Wrath’ with a few pages missing, under the passengers windscreen wiper. Replace the parcel shelf for a battered ‘wood effect’ chipboard one with ‘Robson is a bender’ scratched into it FT guaranteed W!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

hey, does anyone remember years back when 'auto express' magazine let some school kids paint their BMW e21?
IIRC, the teachers (or kids!) swapped the paint and used permanant stuff instead of the temporary water based stuff they were supoosed to use. QUALYIATYIAT.

Erm... Why not a rally inspired paint scheme ? 306 Maxi anyone ? Maybe without the stickers, as they look too 'boy racer' ?

I'm going to stay away from rally inspired schemes.
I saw one of those Hyundai spaz chariots in the 555 colour scheme last week. It's just wrong!

Good stuff. I might just stick with my original plan then, Miami blue (same as above picture) - for all you paint freaks... what could be added to the paint to give it a cool twist? I was thinking metal flake...
I'm keeping standard wheels, just getting them refurbished/polished.
Cheers

Paint it (gloss) grey....the Audi TT colour and then paint the wheels gloss black with an Amber pinstripe around the rim, amber brake calipers, a small amber 'Stussy' or www.retro-rides.com sticker on the back window...and lower it a lot.

This sort of colour: A beige leather interior would be nice too! But you can see the colour better in this pic.
