for saying it took me ages and still isn't finished, its not very impressive. anyway, the parts are;
a bit of dash (clock removed)
green led
switch (now melted and fubared)
water temperature gauge
2x bits of metal (grey primer)
bit of metal (black)
shiny bit of paper (black)
the idea was/is to replace the clock with a temp gauge and a switch that lights the led and turns on the cooling fans.
anyway, i made all the metal from bits of sill, the paper was part of the gauge box, the led was off a n old nos setup as was the switch. missing from the picture is a led holder, cause it was on the floor and took ages to find.
anway cause i needed to solder the switch, i thought id use my new soldering iron. this has a heat control dial. this went straight onto 'full' and melted the switch.
anyway it now looks like
which is nice.
the grey bits go onto the screw holes at the back and wedge it into position with errr cardboard. ;D
btw the gauge looks much less irritating without the camera flash.
