I was at Oulton Park on Saturday for the Vintage Sports Car Club racing event. its the first racing event i have ever been and it was great. the weather couldnt be better and the machinery was just fantastic.
a selection of pics, the rest will be sent to hotwire in due course if thats ok?
A Morgan 3-wheel v-twin engine. you guessed it, that IS a carb per cylinder - pure sex!
carb love x2
shiney aluminium is the future
80s Maserati madness in the car park
We were staying in Liverpool over the weekend. We stayed in the Forumlae 1 hotel which is just opposite the L'pool police head quaters. they had this rather interesting display outside the police station.
we had a look around the cars and they are as siezed. there was a bench in the van and coins/pens/empty bottles in all the cars.
i actually think it is a really effective 'operation'. it's certainly noticable and will definately make people think twice.
also, being as it was Liverpool they had 2 yellow dukws doing the round. it's a shame they've painted them yellow and fitted those horrible body type things up top but it is still good to see them in use... although the engines sounded suspisicously modern...
Also, i'm loving this long exposure shot
hope you like them. there'll be plenty more up later if hotwire wants them.
I'd definately recomend a VSCC event to anyone, just for the sounds
