Whilst on a drive this evening, I pulled over into the driveway of an abandoned garage in the countryside near my house. I noticed they had a cool retro petrol pump, and wanted to take pics of my Bug with it! ;D Just a nice l'il shot of the Bug and the pump....the building behind the car here is still in use apparently. The pump. Proper old style Side.... Bug Bum.... Interestingly, the abandoned building had what appeared to be a Ford Corsair parked outside in a pile of junk... Bug and Corsair together. The building to the right of this shot is the abandoned garage. As you can see, the garage hasn't been touched in a long time. I wonder what's inside..? Guess we'll never know! ;D

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

It certainly is. Do you know what the deal with it is? I know the other buildings in the little cluster of buildings are still in use, but this one appears derelict...

the guy who works in the place next door (he specialises in auto electrics but does everything else too...has some cracking mint old stuff in their from time to time) owns it as far as i know. he got left those little cluster of buildings, and then theres that other officey type place tagged on the end.
ive been meaning to get pictures of the blue ford for quite a while now.

its abandoned in that that portion of it isnt used much or at all, but the owner is right next door. so chances of claiming squatter rights are slim to none.
i will double check my info though, but I'm pretty sure thats the case.
why what did you have in mind?

Oh I didn't want the building, was just gonna have a rummage through to see if there was anything worth claiming!
"Barn finds" are kinda a hobby of mine, cept I'm not very good at it - the buildings I search are either occupied (including an embarrasing incident with a VW camper and a hobo) or empty! ;D

Real nice photos - great light for that sort of thing. Nice find too! I love these old places. Makes you wonder if there's any really usefull things lurking inside. Here's a shot of where I take my cars for their MOT's. Note, similar pump on the right.
