The BMW passed its MOT today.... ;D
The paint's orrible, but she's legal and I've just driven her for the first time in 18 months. I'm back in love again.
See you there. I bet the grin won't have faded by then, either.

Just cos something is good for you doesn't mean its good for everyone - for example Marmite does not make good Dog Food.

Mine's MOT'd too (3 advisories - hole in windscreen that's been there 16 years, play in rack that's been there as long, and an oil leak to rival the exxon valdez!)! Am building up a temp engine to replace the leaky one, otherwise no turbo, but the beige bomber instead Want the turbo tho, white door, grey tailgate and rusty black elsewhere. Wicked

Mine has something defined as "Excess play in OS steering rack detected at wheel"
What does that translate too, I mean, how did he detect it? I haven't done anything to the rack or track rods in my little restoration, just fitted new rubber rack mounts and lower steering UJ, as this is where the problems usually lie.
Think he'll let me off if I'm getting a new rack next week? ;D

Good work !! Power not Paint ! mine is getting paint at the moment - its taxed and everything and has a new engine that seems to work but while fitting it something has happened to the gear shift !! it still drives - hope it's not too hot tho... it's verging on cooking the heads at the mo I will have a bed full of beer and an RAC card - what could possibly go wrong !?

Kitten seems to be going OK so should get me to CaRS.. i hope.
