Although not entirely retro related (having said that ... last year plenty of nice retro goodness was spotted, in particular the lemon yellow BMW CSL) but who else is going to Le Mans ? Suffice to say I have increased the size of the memory card in my camera to ensure maximum retro-snappage. ;D I just hope it isnt as hot as it was last year ! Just to make sure there is at least SOME Retro content in this thread ... ;D EDIT: should have put this in the events section ... apologies.

Yeah I'm going, camping in Tertre Rouge as usual. Was going in a mate's yellow primered 289 Zodiac gasser going for a monster burnout at Arnage but it's proved too unreliable to get down there this year. Next year it might be running a blown Chevy and straight tube axle so all is not bad

I'd say the general board is the correct place. Make sure you get some pics for us!

I'm going to the classic this year rather than the proper 24 hrs so hope to see several of the above....... I too have increased the ammount of memory I will be taking 4 x 256 meg cards - expect lots of pictures when I get back ;D Oh and I'll try to keep it to one car park/camping find for every track orientated shot

Yes LeMans virgin here aswell - can't wait, i'm expecting its gonna be just a big open air pi$$ up with a spot of racing round the edge to keep the drunks amused ;D Was going in my mates dads blown 55 Chevy - practicality as deemed that we arrive in a much less exciting but more economical T5 VW van *edit* we are booked to stay at 'Green' - if that means anything to anyone?

I would love to go think me and the boss are going to do it next time but go in his Ultima. How far is it from the port. He want to go instead of the TT, which of course is bikes. (my 4 wheeled obsession is rubbing off on him)

*edit* we are booked to stay at 'Green' - if that means anything to anyone? Yeah it's inside the circuit and infact nicely positioned just besides the motorcycle GP circuit Uphill to get in Downhill when you are tired and coming back

we've got 5 of us going, hopefully in 2 midgets with 5 speed conversions and our 411. the 411 and one of the midgets still need mot's! our ferry departs in 6 days!! however yesterday we got the rest of the electrics working, nows just to sort the cv boots, bleed the brakes, do the headlight alignment and it should be ready! oh, and we are staying at chateau chanteloup just outside le mans. this is a pic from the campsite when i went in '03
