As some of you know I got rid of the GLF saloon a while back Bought another one recently, found by our own Mr Bickle, which initially was going to back on the road, however after much pokings and proddings its been deemed only good for breaking as its harbouring far too much rusty bits.... Then last week I happened upon this...... ;D ;D ;D A quick phone call and a train trip to derby the following friday evenin saw me drivin back to glos in torrential rain and gales.. It performed faultlesslly apart from nearly losin a wiper somewhere near solihull...... On closer inspection its very tidy, needs some work on the arches as to be expected on a 28 year old scooby, but after a service and some new brakes is provin great fun to drive! Bring on the snow! will post some more pics tomoro

Bumping for new pics and a hint for a move to readers rides, pretty please Arches are not bad really, still need replacing but rust is contained to the edge. Sill closing needs work as does lower inner arch Seatbelt mount now on the floor Inner sill getting some love looking dodgy inner sill looks good here But not so good here back half off outer sill being tried Nice tight fit, also proof of commoner background not a royal despite my handsome good looks

tis always worse before it's better Most of it is old patchwork being removed :/ Cut it out, do it once, weld a patch over the top and do it again next year
