Just after Christmas I took on quite a big restoration project for a guy .It started to go wrong almost from the off with various promises and payments on his part not materialising . Last contact I had with him was at the end of Feb .Since then not a word, despite numerous attempts on my part to resolve things . I suspect he has just run out of money and is in head bury mode . I have two cars here ,project and donor vehicle and they are in the way . I have just sent him a mail with a dated ultimatum but really don't know where I stand if I was to carry out the threat to dispose of his cars . The reason I'm more worried than usual is the value of the car involved .It stands him at nearly 20k with the restoration to come . I suspect I will have to talk to a lawyer but wondered if anyone here has had any similar issues . Thanks ,Lee .

I carry trade insurance at all times but regularly tow without MOT or tax to unit for welding work .About a mile but suburban streets and 3 corners away . If you are going to tow then just be prepared to accept the consequences if stopped .It is illegal but I think it all depends on who ,where and why you get pulled and how you behave if stopped .

Excellent ,thanks both .I really want to try and get it right first time ....well at least design it so I can tweak it enough to work well without buying new parts .

Been ruining mine ...They weigh less than the OE bumpers so they are staying + nice brake cooling slots already in place .

I've let the shop slide and not renewed .Think I only sold a couple of sets of ht leads in all the time I've had it .I tend to get more interest from the RAOC forum . You can still get the Lemans panels from Dieppe I think but lots of money .Axiel Reiss do rep bits but again ££££sssssss . Yes it gets flow .Europa Cup cars take the inlet from there ,one of the little scoops that would usually feed the engine cover .

Charge cooler never really worked that well .Main issue was the turbo overboosting though ,I just couldn't control it .The heads are breathing just too well and we are going external wastegate .Turbo spec has changed so hopefully we will see a lot less heat being generated . Big bar and plate intercooler sitting in the original position now .It's actually two coolers for a twin Supra ,one end chopped off and spliced together .

UN1 can be either mid or rear mounted .You just need to flip the diff over .GTA is rear engined UN1 as MATT says .I did once have a rebuild of a rebuild to do and the owner said the box had been rebuilt.Well yes it had but to std spec and 5 reverse gears . Now I check

oops !! Meant to link .You can get the Sikaflex a hell of a lot cheaper on Ebay though .I've just got 2 x 300ml for £20 delivered . www.plastics4performance.comTop quality .They used my existing glass and the copies are exact .Paul or Andy and say Lee with the GTA sent you . They also made me some headlight covers 5mm ,rebated and pencil engraved on the rear to mimic the OE glass Really can't get any better ,very impressed .

I've just had a set of windows made for the GTA .The guys recommend sikaflex 295 and no rivets, cheaper than Tigerseal .Formed 4mm ,MSA requirement .I would use rivets + if pulling into shape rather than formed though .
