Owned for a fair few years now ,started out with leather A/C and a pearly white . Now a pure track car and test bed for PRV V6 engines . I also have a '92 21 turbo as the daily driver in standard form apart from bigger blower and fueling . New engine build for the GTA is in progress and should be out to play in the Spring .Hoping to get it into the 12s and keep it usable on circuit also .Stripped out to 1085 kg from 1185 kg . The Blue Brick .....It's not got much more drag than the GTA believe it or not .

Nice pair Clee ( i hope youre not a woman!! ) Are you going to try the 24 valve heads on your V6?

I'm forever trying to lose it . 90% of the interior is gone ,sound deadening weighed a ton .The rear was fully glazed ,big engine cover and side panels ...all replaced with fibreglass or binned .Std exhaust/silencer gone and replaced with a pipe .Loads of other little bits and bobs that I forget . Still got a few kg to shed out of the doors ,glass, window motors etc .Not much more that can be shed really after that .The front wings are plastic ,bonnet fibreglass and come in at 18 kgs .

Nice pair Clee ( I hope youre not a woman!! ) Are you going to try the 24 valve heads on your V6? I wasn't last time I looked ...... No .Std Z7U 12v heads but with quite a bit of work on the exhaust side .Not that much advantage in the 24v as all the PRV lumps are pretty poor . I have not done the heads myself but will be attempting some in the near future ,I have a few nice pairs to practice on . All that side of things has been done by one of my Alpine mates who's real thing is engines rather than what they sit in . We are thinking twin turbo for the next stage but still retaining the 12v setup .

That GTA is fantastic! Looks really purposeful, and sounds like it lives up to its looks! ;D I bet the 21 Turbo is a load of fun too.

Some lighter calipers might save a few kg's.
Then you could add some back by using a Safran 3.0 block with Citroen XM 24v heads and a bigger turbo. ;D ;D ;D

Yes ,the 21 has it's moments .It gets used daily ,school run ,shopping etc and the odd blast .It has std suspension though .I've taken it around Rockingham and Mallory but it really needs some money spent to firm it up a bit , no real point in doing much though . It's a late one ,phase 3 .Only had 2 owners before me and looked after very well .

That Gta looks really good. Mines got a duff starter motor -looks like I'll need to dismantle half the exhaust to get at it?Unless you know of a better route? Ta

No need for that . 3 bolts through the bellhousing into tapped holes in the starter .You can get to them ,it's just a bit fiddly .It will then come out with a bit of a wiggle . I have a pic ,you'll have to ignore the actual bolts and exhaust position as this is on my modified lump .On yours the runner will not go anywhere near the starter and the 3 bolts will be the one far left and the two other holes .

A say matt black is done to death, boring and out of fashion.
Proof positive that on the right car it is still very much a good thing!
The GTA is just one of those cars I remember from my teen years. There was a car dealer plot near my school and we (the car nerds) all swooned when one of those appeared!

That GTA makes Mad Max look like a pansy. Love 21's, used to work with a guy who had a black phase 2, great fun

Thanks guys . The car was pearl white so I hit it with Scotchbrite then primed in grey a few coats then Satin black ,all out of rattle cans ...£90 .It's all fibreglass or plastic so no metalworm issues . I figured if it went wrong I wouldn't have lost much and if it looked right I was squids in . I started it with just a black roof and rear shutters when I replaced the rear glass .Here It is a t Pod last year .13.3 @105 on aftermarket ECU setup .

Ay-up Chris .Yeh ,thought I'd have a look see here and see what goes on .We can't all be off on Euro jollies so thought I'd see about some events on here . I have found that heater resistor thingy I think if you still need it .

Lee, yes I still need that heater resistor thing, I'll have to do an Ikea trip and pop round sometime for it. I've still not got my GTA back together, work/family etc. been taking up my spare time. If things don't change soon I may have to contact RATS to sort it out
