So here we have for sale is a 2000 model year Ford Mondeo in Silver with Charcoal cloth and 106,000 miles on the clock. This was the first time I've ever driven a Mondeo never mind owned 1 and I was actually quite pleasantly surprised! These drive really nicely, has a little bit of get up and go but all in all a nice place to be, I'd quite happily do a lot of miles in this little rarely seen gem. It has Full service history and a complete book pack which is quite rare as are the original number plates which are still fitted, last service was last year or 3,000 miles ago and it was a Major service too, the clutch was replaced the previous year, has just gone through an MOT and I also replaced the battery yesterday (5 year warranty) Has a Kenwood CD player with USB connections. The main negative points to mention is the Remote key no longer functions, needs the circuit board replacing, are available on Ebay for little money, the central locking still works just manually, and the exterior as you can imagine for a 20 year old car has seen the odd bump here and there and as many are aware Mondeo bumpers don't seem to suffer even the slightest bump well, the alloys are reasonable and they are shod in nearly new Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. On the whole it wears it's 106,000 miles very well and has many more to go as mechanically its lovely. Anyway will let the pictures do the talking 20201129_153104 by luke pirozzolo, on Flickr 20201129_153058 by luke pirozzolo, on Flickr 20201129_153124 by luke pirozzolo, on Flickr 20201129_153124 by luke pirozzolo, on Flickr 20201129_153153 by luke pirozzolo, on Flickr 20201129_153201 by luke pirozzolo, on Flickr 20201129_153133 by luke pirozzolo, on Flickr 20201129_153240 by luke pirozzolo, on Flickr 20201129_153253 by luke pirozzolo, on Flickr 20201129_153339 by luke pirozzolo, on Flickr

Very nice too! Do love a Jag and did love my XJ40 Sport, you never see these, I always got passing glances and comments in petrol stations, a good clean XJ40 is a beautiful thing however are soo few and far between now, they are a brave car to own, I did daily mine for a good few months and no issues what so ever, however did have a small fortune spent on it, I haven't owned anything as comfortable and sedate as my XJ40, would own another 1 but maybe a full fat XJ40 4.0 XJR in black.

Love this, you never seize to amaze me with your 9000, proper car cared for properly and driven right too! Good job on the wheels too! Got to be 1 of the best black Aero's out there hands down, or in fact any colour! Cheers Luca, very kind of you to say. It's an easy car to own really and not one that I would ever have imagined I would have come so far with all those years ago when I bought it.
Funny that you've got an RS4 as well, I always look at RS4 (and RS2) Avants as they're the only thing I could see me replacing this with. Be great to read a thread on that if you had one anywhere.
They are indeed! Been quite lucky with mine, never missed a beat in the 3 plus years I've owned it, I have thought about selling but never actually bring myself to it. Funny you mention gear ratio's too, I've been using my Golf as a daily (2.0 16v ABF) and that has a short ration MK2 ACD GTI box, which means 5th gear 3,000rpm is approx 63mph!!!! About 2 gears shorter at least than the Saab haha. The RS4 I haven't done a thread on, she is in the body shop at the moment having a refresh, so there shouldn't be a blemish when she comes out of hibernation, not that it was that bad to begin with, the thing is they are a bloody headache to work on! But what a car! I have owned her for over 7 years and love how well they are ageing and how green seems to be coming in to fashion abit more now.

I would love this, but as mentioned it isnt fair to offer a car that you have willingly taken a holding deposit on, if he/she pulls out then all good.

Absolutely love the where you’ve taken with your 9000. You’re heading in a different direction to where I’ve been going with mine which is now more of a mummy wagon/ autobahn stormer. For mine I want to be able to cruise quietly at 110-130mph for decent periods. However those brakes could well be something I’d try out. Would love to have a drive of this sometime. Especially with the bigger turbo as that is something I’ll have to deal with one day. Anyway, great car and thread. Looks awesome. Thank you very much! Yes you are going for more luxury and a very clean OE look and feel, well will probably feel better than it did when it left the factory haha. Yes it did take some thought to move over to a 4.05 gearbox however 90% of the driving this car gets doesn't warrant a 3.61 gearbox, I feel it will make it a different animal all together, the change of Turbocharger will also make just as much difference as it will spool alot earlier than the TD04 but will if needed cope with 380bhp, I will be going for nearer 330ish bhp with equal or more torque. The brakes have made welcome change, they really do work as well as they look, can brake ALOT later and with more confidence, think the brakes draw people in first when they see the car haha. When the car is done you are welcome to take her for a spin of course, will see how long it takes to convert you.

So far updates are coming in slow due to Covid etc, latest addition is a shorter ratio Gearbox 4.05 instead of the 3.61 Aero box, atm is stripped apart having a complete gearbox refresh with all new bearings, modified Circlips and later stronger 9-5 crush washer, with the addition of a Sachs Racing clutch and a lightened and balanced flywheel.
Should make a huge difference to how the car performs with improved ratio's, will make for a very responsive car once I obtain a Holset He221w which will get rid of the 90's TD04 Turbo lag.

Have just replaced the front brake pads and discs as there was an occasional judder under braking at higher than town speeds, now all sorted.
Will take a sensible offer on this and really do not want to put her on Ebay.

Always loved these! They are timeless, in fact BMW should be ashamed to dare call the new BMW coupe an 8 series! They will never repeat this again. Would love an E31 1 day however when that day comes it will be too late I fear.

Right here we go the start of the departure of my Jaguar XJ40 Sport. Now I have only owned M57 for a year, she was an impulse buy and the definition of love at first sight! After flicking through various adverts looking for a car I didn't need (every petrol head knows the story) I was actually looking for something small nippy and cheap to run as a stop gap car while the Saab was off the road having work done, M57 popped up as I was looking for an older car circa 90's back, the moment I clicked on the advert that was it! I pinged a message across and before long I was on the phone and in the car driving up to see for my own eyes, I was welcomed by a very polite gentleman who owned the car for 10 years! He opened the garage door where she lay and that was it, my exact words to him was I'll take it! No messing around with price etc. The drive home was fantastic, very calm and sedate with only a whisper of a that old testament 3.2 straight six when the throttle pedal squeezed slightly, it truly is an effortless car to drive and a very classy motor car to behold, I have owned many a car but I have never owned one not so relaxing to drive or one that gets as many comments as M57 does and rightly so that's why I bought her! M57 has done trips across Europe and to Scotland a few times in her life and has never missed a beat once, you honestly would not believe the mileage not only to look at but to drive, M57 is a Chesterfield with a Jaguar badge. Anyway she has been loved, a huge amount of money has been spent to bring up to the standard she's in now, also the only colour to have a Jaguar in, Brooklands green, being a sport model it comes with the 5 spoke alloys wheels finished in Oyster and wearing the correct Jaguar Pirelli's, colour coded boot lid finisher, XJR grill, slightly lower suspension and the fantastic red carpet and with matching red stitching on the soft leather seats. M57 had undergone a massive renovation, completely stripped, engine and gearbox out, glass out etc, the car to begin with was no dog by any means, she went to a very respected Jaguar and classic specialist Pit Lane where you are greeted with Champagne, this renovation took place on the 29th June 2011, M57 has worn those 9 years since very very well indeed, being kept garaged and ceramic coated since, there are 1 or 2 places that need sorting again however but they are minor. History wise there isn't a huge amount prior to this but the whole car has been gone over by the likes of Pit Lane and Jagcare Limited, exhaust valves have been replaced and re-honed as a couple burnt out, calipers have been replaced, radiator upper and lower supports stripped back and powder coated, steering rack bushes replace for stiffer XJR type, Andy's crank sensor bracket fiited to improve economy and running of the stunning AJ6 3.2 heart, a huge amount of oil changes and gearbox changes have also taken place, every time the engine oil was changed so was the gearbox oil and filter, and that is to name a few. The interesting part is this a very late model XJ40 Sport, in fact she is the 57th last one off the production line, hence the Jaguar Cars fitted number plate from new M57ALA 57 signifying the number off the line, the number plates are also the correct metal Jaguar plates. Mileage 164,000 MOT 28/09/2020 Anyway enough talking here are a couple of pictures I took but then changed my mind on selling a couple of months back.
