I need some bits and bobs to make an exhaust for my t25.
A full system with a few boxes and plenty of bends would be handy.
I don't have huge amounts to spend, and local to Rotherham would be great!
Drop me a PM so I don't miss your reply!

Yeah, that's fine. My t25 has it in the exact same position.

Wow! This is inspiring stuff, it's looking a thousand times better than I could have imagined. Laying that rear window down has transformed this - it doesn't just look like a car with a roof chop, everything sits so nicely.
Like about 500000000 other people, I'll be following this closely!

A 51 plate would be the late type, so I'm almost certain your inlet won't fit.

That sound like a reasonable plan. It would depend on how well baffled the tank is as to whether you'd get away without a swirl-pot. It may be worth looking at the fuel pumps used in mk3 golf GTI's (As well as other VW's). They're a self contained unit with a fump, small swirl-pot and I think filter in a single unit, and are good for decent power, and readily available. You mean late mk2s - the mk3s have in-tank pumps.

AFAIK you can unbolt the plate on the end of the head (that holds the coilpack) and bolt the dizzy drive on.
I do know late and early VTR inlet manifolds have a different pattern, and someone once told me they are different to the carb fitting.
TBH the wiring is pretty simple to run the early vtr EFI system (4 wires and it runs), you only need the engine loom. I'd personally do that for better driveablility and MPG.

I might be reading too much into this, but I don't think that Dez or Robin are interested in the kind of work where you end up being owed £300k by a telecoms company.

Are those firestone bags sealed inside like the Aerosport bags? They look like they bolt to the upper and lower plates and need sealing, whereas the aerosport bags just drop over coilovers more or less.

there's a lad on brick-yard forum selling a pair of AVO -70mm front springs, but they apparently don't lower the vans as much as this, and being AVO they won't allow things to foul www.brick-yard.co.uk/forum/vw-t3-70mm-avo-lowering-springs-in-hertfordshire_topic71357.htmlDibs on your old springs of they are at the right price! Personally I've got a pair of -60mm rears, and a full set of genuine caravelle springs too if any of them are any good to you (maybe raise the back of yours to match the front a bit)

Yeah, get rid of those tyres ASAP! They're shafted.
If money is tight, Part worn tyres really are a good buy. A place local to me (Top Tread near Rotherham centre) would do you some decent used 185/70/14s for about £15 a corner fitted and balanced, If you get a full set they might knock a drink off the total as well.

I've really enjoyed reading this thread. Absolutely great work and it's even better that you use the car often!
I have a starter from a Mk3 Golf Gti I'm happy to donate, however I'm not sure if the shipping cost would mean it's cheaper for you to get one locally.

There are mounts to fit belts in the back of most t25s, it all depends on your seat configuration.
I've got a t25 with 2 seats in the back, both with 3 point belts (My seat is further forward than OE, so I've welded in new mounts for the belts)

I've used Andy (Bignut) on here to shift two cars. Top stuff Yeah, Andy's a top lad but he's moved down south so it makes it harder for him to fit oop north jobs in nowadays.

Go on autotrader and look at what similar vehicles cost. The insurance will probably offer you about half of this to start with. Show them some examples of these autotrader cars and they will probably up their offer.
As for that 106, if you just need a runabout and don't mind it looking rough, a full rear axle from a breakers would only be about £30, and they are pretty simple to swap (4 bolts and the brake pipes)
