heheh cheers guys, Carter still do the odd gig, although i've seen Jim Bob do his acoustic thang, and we played Fruitbat's 50th birthday party back in december (50!) so we thought we'd do a cheeky cover for a mate who's in Thailand.
We kinda like it folked up.
We're supporting Abdoujaparov next friday, i'm wondering if we should play it then for a grin. woddya think?

Totally non-car related however Retro to some...
Here's our cover of Carter USM's Sheriff Fatman in our own style!
Mods, feel free to delete this thread if its totally inappropriate :-)
We knocked it up last night, and already Les Carter has found it and said he approves which cheered me up no end so I just had to share. ;D ;D
Cheers,
Rich (the fat harmonica player who loves his retro's)

'tis true mate. Those Kef's sound lovely, a bit neutral for my taste but lovely.. I like things a little bass-heavy because my ears are shot. (Seeing Motorhead in Southend the other week was the final nail in the coffin for my lug'oles, had tinnitus for nearly a week, felt like i'd blown my other eardrum)
My mordaunt short's don't sound too bad either when hooked up to my 80's Sansui amp. Better than my 1000W panasonic dolby 5.1 digital techno-wizz-bang-thingamy in the lounge!
back on topic, Look after those goodmans! They're ace!

Rich

Can I make an alternative suggestion? We use one in our band and it's ace! There should be some video on our myspace www.myspace.com/deferredsucess if you want to check it out. It makes everyone go "ooh what is that?" Great fun! Cheers, Rich

don't let the fwd fool you, this is an entertaining car to drive, pretty neutral when cornering!
Interior is great, factory bucket seats, electric windows, cool looking dash, all in good condition too.
Carpet's not so good but hoovers up ok

Model: Nissan Sunny ZX Coupe (B12 body, CA18DE engine) Year: 1989 Mileage: 85000 approx Tax: June 2009 MOT: July 8th 2009 Location: Chelmsford, Essex Price: £200 ono Contact details: zen61871 @ zen.co.uk // 07816 318 264 Blurb:Right dudes, I give up! I've had enough of squeezing tons of band gear into my little coupe. The MoT is up on July 8th, and the tax is up at the end of the month. The only thing wrong with it as far as I know for the MoT is that the main beam on the passenger headlamp has stopped working. I'm not prepared to put any more cash into this car, it's already had way too much. New Clutch New Water Pump New Radiator New front discs and pads I drove it to Newquay and back (600 miles) last weekend and it once again it's proven itself to be a reliable mile-eater. Now, as you may remember I let a friend, a muppet, mop the paintwork, now it's got numerous paint issues in terms of it being rubbed in places. Not to mention the dent in the front wing caused by some other idiot falling over drunk into it. Noisy gearbox, but works fine, clicky CV joints but again ok for the time being. Goes like the clappers :-) First person to give me near to £200 can have it. The car is in Chelmsford, Essex. I want it gone asap. I'd rather not have it crushed as it's too good for that. Thanks, Rich

mine too, but out of curiousity I checked my car out, 1989 Nissan Sunny ZX coupe 1.8. they offered £50! made me chuckle, and say a few rude words about them.
So that's as far as I got. never dealt with them further than that. Just watch out for hidden fees is all I say.

Rich
