as title, probably gonna be a long process. first up, ST70 bought by my father as transport on a barge. been repainted a few years ago, might repaint the white back to silver. it originally was specced with a Chaly type exhaust hence why it's got the low front mudguard as well i think? mileage 4625 miles, but at moment not got original engine in, this will be rebuilt & put in before it's MOT'd shocks will be off too, they're for the white Dax the white dax as i bought it... as it is at moment... OORacing 120 4 speed, standard length ally swingarm & disc brake forks & a few other little bits will go on it. they're in here somewhere! these other boxes contain all sorts of stuff including the original engine for the red Dax, all 6v bikes. i didn't realise i had so many engines, 2 in bikes, 2 as they were when taken out of bikes & 2 in various boxes. one has ST nos., another has CT nos. the other 2 are C70's the flower seat is not perfect, had a good scrub, needs the fastenings on sides replacing. the only other bad point is the strap but i can live with that happy days

Holy Thread resurrection Batman !! the red one is 99% there, neeeds chain/sprockets, battery and horn sorting so i've allowed myself 6 months based on how long a go i started this.. finally started, well sorting out what i've got and not for the white one shopping list made, another £400 + box of parts on the way. now receiving a Disc rear end, CNC bar mount, new shocks and shiny Alloy wheels along with a few other bits and bobs exhaust needs sorting, off the shelf or Custom? not too sure yet as i fancy something low slung rather than 'burn your legs' high. pics to follow when they arrive

box of goodies arrived Fri..... rear disc kit is 'supposedly' bolt on replacement..yeah right! rear disc/hub went on OK apart from not having an inner tube that held air, off down the road for a new one. caliper was a tad more fiddly once i'd worked out how to get a gap big enough to slide pads over disc and miss the rim now just need to work out the remainder of 'things' to mount the master cylinder and sort out a Reaction arm as the swingarm is wider than standard. resorted to a t'internet search and hopefully i've found the answer....long bolts replace 2 engine ones and with spacers it mounts above the kickstart/brake lever area at an angle facing forwards the 40+ yr old top bearing shroud decided it's had enough of life so forks are now out again. new CNC bar mount needs 2 bolts to fix from under top yoke, yep you guessed, of all the bolts i have lying around none fit. i may end up replacing all bolts etc with new ones if i can stretch the budget a little more, well tell a little white lie to the OH! off into the garage again later to have a sort out and try and make a list.

Nice job, gives me the shove to get off my and sell my spare Dax and put my Chaly back together, sold it to a friend about 10 years ago as I was skint, he stripped it and had it blasted but it came back in boxes as he never did anything with it and now has too many projects so sold it back to me!

Now it was a few years ago but I walked in to my then local Honda dealer and he ordered the shell and some odd nuts for the wheels, took about 8 weeks from Japan, but wasn't expensive from what I remember, still that place in Holland has all the bits, I bought a brand new rear light lense at the car boot for £1!

pergola up on saturday so the Koi are safe again.... so what i thought was a nice easy job on the Red one...battery up and running as was the horn working OK...job jobbed chain and sprockets on but only after what seems like stripping half the bike down! no headlamp bulbs working...turns out it didn't have any bulbs in! turn ignition off and neutral light still on...hmmmm? i HATE electrics!! stood it in the corner and proceeded to the White one CNC bracket filed out to fit the folding bars but then top yoke wouldn't tighten up sufficiently, 2 brackets on it were catching the one on the frame for steering lock...forks lowered, grinder out, tab on frame now gone and forks tightened accordingly. swingarm caused a few niggles, shocks wouldn't sit upright( must be a tad wider as well?),'supposedly' a straight swap but needed a small spacer for the axle. put the rear mudguard roughly on and because it's +5cm or maybe +10cm wheel sits right under the back portion of guard so looks wrong. this then means another guard and lamp assembly so standard one is now back in and everything now fits as it should. i may put the alloy one back in at a later date after a bit more searching for pics/ideas loom put in roughly as well and headlamp shell with alloy hangers, seat loosely put on just so i can visualise the end product. seat is worse than i thought so may replace with a replica as there is virtually nothing of the Lady dax left apart from the frame rear brake cylinder is still a poser...looks as though i need to fab a plate myself. wiring could be interesting but i'm putting that off for now, get it rolling first.
