Can I just apologise for feeling like I'm 18 again! Picked it up, had to go straight to work after taxing it online, stopped off at McDs (seems to blend in to a McDs car park fairly well!) and took the long way to work along the seafront (blends in fairly well there too!)
*obviously, "blends in" is completely ironic, it's like being famous, or a lookalike, so much head turning going on

Another apology for not updating the thread, due to an unavoidable delay (purely my fault for misunderstanding a very simple message!) I'll be picking it up this afternoon.
Not as excited as I should be. Really did want a V8 (would have settled for a V6) but I think that is looking unlikely now due to financial restraints and other circumstances.
Maybe one day...

I’ve apologised once, but that was a few days ago I just never expected the terribly sad events of the last few days…. So mum I’d just like to apologise for my car hobby that always got you so annoyed when I’d gone and brought another car home, But hey you just encouraged me more over the years when I had my own home And lent me money right up to your very untimely and unexpected passing to buy more cars I didn’t need thank you mum rest in peace one day we will meet again Sorry to hear this. Similar situation for me and my dad, he never understood my approach to buying cars, despite having been a car guy in his younger days

I'd like to apologize for not being able to attend an RR Gathering since 2007. 🤐😃 Gaydon? I think that was my last one too [img class="smile" alt=" " src="//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/embarrassed.png" style="max-width:100%;"] Happy memories though, and also I have recently seen a genuine Y4 RLY number plate locally Crikey, we literally do match up on both years then. We must have both been mourning our downfall at the same time It was somewhat traumatic. I'd also never had to pay for road tax before. The current diesel whitegoods estate is only £30 tax though & is currently doing low to mid 50s mpg in non motorway driving. No where near as engaging to drive compared to the 106, but very comfortable & competent. In contrast, the Amazon did 25 mpg on a good day on a long run... I'd still rather have the Amazon back on the road and in full working order again though. Never paid road tax ever!? Can we blame you for all the potholes in our fine land? As I write it down, it does seem a little harsh...

On Wednesday I shall take delivery of one of those newfangled Abarth Competizione things. New to me, not newnew. It's in the correct colour for a sorta-sporty Eyetalian thoroughbred, it's kinda pretend-pseudo-retro, maybe? It has carbon-backed Sabelt seats! And an LSD (we think) Nice choice . Not sure if it’s the same where you are , but there highly prized around here & a lot are going missing overnight . Get yourself a good steering wheel cover/lock . 👍 Good advice, thank you

Do the tyres have built in chocks? Yeh think that is the kind of idea with those ‘lugs’ across the tread Cheers

I will open by admitting that once again I have failed to purchase a retro daily, and once again I have managed to avoid the purchase of my first V8.
To misquote my favourite Maths teacher, "I've let you down, I've let myself down, I've let the whole (old) school down"

...here is a safe place to own up to anything that goes against the RR grain, preferably as innocent(ish) and (hopefully) victim-free as possible...

I'm guessing it's a grasstracker, I love the box section cage! Even with a crash hat I can't see this is a good idea!

Are they sliding doors on the minty green car? Certainly are. It's a 1954 Kaiser Darrin. Cheers, thank you
