Are you looking to do a deal for a road worthy bike or would you consider a resto project? I have several Yamaha FZ 750s in varying states of incompleteness + many, many spares?

No plans to buy any more bikes in the future without selling something first. Just had a quote for the garage roof which is being paid for by my future father in law so he will need paying back before I have any spare cash. I would love the red audi coupe which is for sale on here at £395.00 but got to be roof first.. . then christmas, then the rest of the house by which time it will no doubt be September which is when I am supposed to be getting married! Me, getting married! It hadn't really sunk in until I just typed those words! Holy curse word!!!!!

I am very sorry for the lack of updates over the last 12 months but there has been a lot of "other stuff" going on. I bought a house earlier this year with a really dodgy garage so my main priority has been to build a good one for my bikes & hopefully another car next year depending on how my money goes. Here is just 1 pic of many taken recently to show I'm not telling porkies. With the nights getting shorter I decided to get some help. This bloke works for 60 quid a day from 9 to 3. He doesn't eat so I just have to keep the tea flowing & he is happy. As soon as the roof in on (next week all being well) & the floor is finished I will be able to put all my bikes in 1 place & work on them. I now have 2 FZ 750s, a 93 Fireblade & my most recent purchase, a 2001 Yamaha Fazer 1000. I luv my bikes. ;D Normal service will be resumed within the next few months.. . I hope.

Unless the page hasn't finished loading (my wireless connection is pants) then you haven't put your location in your profile in which case it might be worth mentioning it in your ad'. Good price BTW, should sell no bother.

Result ! I need more space for my shi.. . projects too. I pay roughly £7.00 a week for a council garage which is "just" big enough for 1 car with no electric & a leaky roof !

I know exactly what you mean Terraroot, seen some ridiculous rear ends in my time ! I had to lift it a bit or it just looked like the rear shock was shafted. I am 14 stone so with me on the bike it looks quite normal now. Not sure what to do at the front. Leaning towards the blue over white of the tank for the whole bike in an attempt to make it look like I haven't messed with it. Was just gonna paint the standard fairing for now & see how I feel about it. Not the best but one of the front. I have a twin beam headlight which were only fitted to overseas bikes but no bulbs or plugs for it yet.

It's alive ! ;D & about time too. Long story short, the act of lapping my valves in meant the clearances had shrunk to the point where I had very little compression at best & none at all in some cases. With shims being specific to this engine I had some fun getting 20 of the right sized ones but by relocating some of my existing ones & robbing some from my spares bike I only had to buy 9. At 6 quid each it's probably just as well. Engine now fires up instantly & sounds super quiet which I was expecting as the bores were showing no signs of wear & the cams etc were all in tip top condition. Not bad for a 54K engine. Progress this week.. . very little but it's a step in the right direction. Over priced 2nd hand Laser exhaust system welded up & fitted. It sounds fantastic so I will forget how much it cost. Can't really tell from that picture but I have finished trimming & fitting all the under tray inner plastic & made a neat little bracket for my diddy indicators & number plate. Next few jobs will involve having wheel spacers made front & back along with some braded brake hose then fitting the chain & seeing what it rides like. I can't wait.

Mondeo clutch mk1/2 closely followed by mk3 escort cvh sump gasket. Sounds innocent enough but I had 4 attempts at fitting my sump with a new gasket each time before eventually removing the gearbox ! Was beginning to wish I'd took the engine out.

Nice on Takeshi. I have just bought a Peugeot speedfight 2, 100cc air cooled scoot for my girly as she has expressed an interest in passing her cbt but can't get to grips with the gears/clutch thing. I was under the impression that your Piaggio used the same "power plant" ;D as the Peugeot ? If this is true then a 100cc barrel, piston & carb should be a fairly easy performance upgrade. One thing I noticed whilst test riding my girlfriend's Pug was that other road users don't seem to give you much respect on one. I'm sure they assume you will just hold them up & try everything to pass you, even when it's not safe. Love the spares availability for these scooters & the prices ! Ride safely dude.

for sale ad's from members with less than 50 ? 100 posts ? can't remember which but you've got a long way to go for either. Unless you pm one of the mod's with your details this one will get binned too I fancy. Edit, just checked, it's 100 posts. You need to pm "oldbus". read this, retrorides.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=FSW&action=display&thread=42207 All of it, not just the 1st post.

Having recently sold my rs1600i (just over a year ago year) it never ceases to amaze me what folks will gladly pay for a bit of nostalgia, especially when it is mk3 Escort shaped & carries those 2 little letters.. . RS. Not sure I would willingly part with 20K for a series 1 turbo even if I had that kind of money spare. I love the mk3 Escort in all it's guises & have owned 4 now but they have all been used & abused. Not sure I could bring myself to do that to a 20K one which really defeats the object of car ownership for me An investment perhaps if kept in a bubble for the next 10 years or more & doesn't get damaged accidentally which reminds me why I sold the 16i. When used for their intended purpose, they DO get damaged.. . at least by me they do !

Yes I do like it. Sorry I'm not really up on my Suzuki's is it a 750 or 1100 ? You don't look like someone who does things by halves so I'm guessing 1100 ! Funny, I just bought another FZ last month for spares with the exact same thing going on with the seat ie, not a lot of it. Loving the silencer but where's your number plate ? Does it stick out on the left hand side somewhere ? 80's bikes ar cool as f**k aren't they.
