Great progress.
On the timing conundrum old or new chain and have you tried it with the chain rubbing plate and tension-er fitted?
With the chained tension set it will reduce the slack and take up the half tooth difference also make sure you have it set to fire on No: 1 and you are not 180° out which is easy to do without knowing.
Have fun.

Hi all I know it's been a while well at the end of September last year I only had about 2ltrs of fuel in the tank and I did not want to have her sitting with a say 20ltrs over the winter so I gave her a wash and covered her up and tucked her away in the garage. Well over the weekend I have woken her up fresh fuel and during the next week I will be giving her an oil and filter change and then she will be ready for Drive it day on the 24th. I have also decided on a name for her Clarice English Baby Names the meaning of the name Clarice is: ALatin Clara, meaning bright or clear. That choice of name has nothing to do the film Silence of the Lambs. I intend to drive her as much as I can this year and to get to shows and enjoy it. More Pictures to follow as the show season progresses.

Just seen this! My dad has two of these, a general service and a radio-bodied one. Let me know if there are any particular dimensions you need and I am sure he could help. PM sent.

Progress has been made with the Help of jimspolicev8sd1 with some V8 measurements. I don't use Facebook procrastinator so if any one could contact them and ask them to contact me on phd_designs@phd-design-etchings.co.uk I would be grateful? Pete

The badges for grizz were 3D printed layer by layer taking 4hrs 30mins on my Elegoo Saturn Printer, using UV cured resin, not fast but when your creating in effect something solid from a liquid it's quite special, it still gets me every time I can design something on the CAD and then make it there and then. Technology and progress has it's pluses and it's minuses.
was going to say they don’t look like the usual 3d printed items i have seen suck at these velocity stacks i have just bought Those are made on an FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) 3D printed my printer is an MSLA (Masked Stereo lithography) printer.
They look good.

Thank you all for your responses I have tried the Landrover forums and Gaydon and I have tried Bovington they were one of the first places no joy mainly because I run a modeling business.
What I'm hoping for is someone who is into Landrovers that has a friend who has one who would be interested in hellping and maybe getting a model of their FC 101 as thanks.
I will keep ploding on with it and see how far I can get.

Hello all I'm in need of some informational help? I'm working on a project to design a model of the Royal Army Landrover Forward Control 101 vehicle. I have been though all of the picsture sites and the usual forums and places I would go to and I have been able to get off to a good start but I'm in need of some detail refrence if possible.
If any one knows of anyone who owns one of these Landrover Forward Control 101's please PM me so I can pass on my contact info so I can contact them for some help?
I'm not working to a deadline on this project but I do want to keep the project moving.

They look good Rian.
But the ride is going to very hard as the tire profile works as part of the suspension something to bar in mind.
As for the lights as they are on the CJ7 that's an MOT fail if you have them like that on yours as that is how they had them on the CJ7 from the factory as the markers are small and below the main lights but on yours they should have the side/marker lights and indecators on the very fromt of the wings so that they can be seen, you can still fit coloured led replacement bulbs and clear lenses to yours.
The main headlights from the CJ7 would be great on yours but you must have the side/marker lights and indecators fitted on the wings.

Yes the Capri guy is in the RAF based near you and has a lot of experience with the BOA engine PM me if you want details?
Also are the cams tmmed corectly for a BOB or a BOA as that would make a difference?

I'd agree with peteh1969 with the timing/firing order/inlet manifold part. Only thing is, the BOA is wasted spark, so will fire the plugs on exhaust strokes anyway I know the BOA is a wasted Spark system still you should see two sparks per revolution (per four strokes) on each cylinder, it's still relervent to try to find the cause of the none starting.
Also Has the aftermarket ECU bee told it's supposed to be controling a six cylinder engine?

Having just read through the two previous pages you problem makes me think what would cause the same problem if it was a none injection, none electronic ignition engine and four things spring to mind. 1. Do you actually have spark on every cylinder every time it cranks (have you tested each cylinder for spark with a spark tester, This has not been mentioned specifically in the thread)? 2. Are the caskets on the intake side of the engine correctly fitted (I say this as even though the engine may be symetrical on the inlet it is still possable to fit say the valley gasket up side down and partialy/fully block a cylinder inlet I have done that on a 24 valve my self in the past)? 3. Is the cam timing set corectly as getting it to spark on one cyliner would say that it's not timmed corectly at the cams as they are not in cyinc with the pistons (180° out) they will clear the pistons but would fire on say the exhaust ranther than the compression stroke (you would still get a compresion test reading as all that checks is the compression)? 4. Does the engine have it's own earth to the body (question asked on page 1 and not answered that I can see)?
Do you have compression on No:1 when you should?
It's going to be something realy stupid that is causing the problem it allways is. I hope my queries help? Pete
