I’ve not wanted to comment until I’d seen the episode, I can see what they’ve done, they’ve found a rolling shell with a modern solution to the suspension. Alarm bells started ringing for me when fuzz had to modify the chassis to make the coil overs fit, with hindsight I was shouting at the tv, don’t try and make it work, it’s not a proven design, cut the front off and use the viva set up from the original car!
Many people don’t like taking on other peoples projects because you don’t know what they’ve done or whether the work will stand up to the test of time. Ultimately as the last person to touch it, it’s their name on it and they need to ensure it’s up to standards.
Darkspeed is correct in what he has said. He is a testament to what I’ve just said, I follow his threads without comment, there aren’t many people who strip a road going car to nothing to rebuild it to the correct standards, which is what should have been done by the production team.
