Last saturday I went to Spa-Francorchamps once again for the annual "Spa 6 Hours", think this was my 7th or 8th consecutive edition. As I've gotten into analogue photography I took some pictures with my Photosniper-kit (google it, you won't be disappointed ) so those might follow in a couple weeks when they have been developed. I did mount the old lens on my digital camera, so I've already got some stuff to show. _DSC6614 bewerkt by G C, on Flickr _DSC6620 bewerkt by G C, on Flickr _DSC6628 bewerkt by G C, on Flickr _DSC6635 bewerkt by G C, on Flickr _DSC6647 bewerkt by G C, on Flickr _DSC6680 bewerkt by G C, on Flickr _DSC6729 bewerkt by G C, on Flickr _DSC6736 bewerkt by G C, on Flickr

Would attempting MariCar again be a good idea but a different route maybe? Seems like the sort of thing to quit while I’m ahead on having survived last years Rainbow Bridge night crossing amongst HGVs dressed as Mario.... ;-) Just book a different route, I know I would.

Spent a week in Corsica. I guess the heydays of old French tat driving around is over, but still plenty of stuff (French and foreign) to see and get overly excited about. _DSC5204 bewerkt by G C, on Flickr _DSC5233 bewerkt by G C, on Flickr I saw 3 Mokes over there, one on belgian plates. Can't remember the last time a saw one in Belgium itself, but pretty sure the climate over here is less favourable... _DSC5278 bewerkt by G C, on Flickr _DSC5586 bewerkt by G C, on Flickr _DSC5643 bewerkt by G C, on Flickr _DSC5804 bewerkt by G C, on Flickr _DSC5805 bewerkt by G C, on Flickr

So, now that we've got that out of the way: I went through the old slides found at my grandparents house. Not enough to warrant a new thread, so i went digging in the (really) old threads. Taken beween 1975 and the end of the 80's, as I even found myself between the slides... Kind of confronting that I'm old enough to be on slides... Some wheel things. If you've been looking closely you'll have spotted that as well as all the aftermarket wheel manufacturers (Vossen, Rotiform, Rad48 etc etc) there are a few other trends that are big. 2) I'm not sure about how this is done, so correct me if I'm wrong, but this look is popular - BBS splits re-arranged so the centre is on the outside (I think that's it?). Keeps the tyres within the arches (so it'll sit right down when the airride is dropped) but gives a wider stance. VW Scirocco Mk1 SLN631R by Wörthersee Pics, on Flickr It's called "Zero lip"-style.

Am I the only one who thinks why would you put so much time, money, and effort to produce something so hideous that you'd end up wearing a paper bag over your head every time you drove it so that nobody recognises you? Or am I missing something thats glaringly obvious that makes it cool? Because they can 😎 This! I love it, as in "I love the look of it in Japan, but not sure I could drive it myself...." . But deep down...
