I think these days remote power can be solar and batteries, especially in summer. I don't like going to events such as music festivals and seeing big generators. Oh I love a big old Gardner 180 on the back of an ERF or Foden at the local fair or festival as a generator 😀

How does that reduce emissions though? It’s the same as white diesel but with dye added

Looks a nice thing, they always make me smile with that bloody light switch 😀Merc put that in every car, van & even trucks (7.5 tons to tractor units) I never got my head round that. You’d climb in a 308D builders van & it had the same switch as the MD’s £50k motor

All you need to do now granvia is find a Saab, Volvo, Merc, BMW, Vauxhall, Ford, Peugeot, Porsche etc etc & test them all for a few thousand miles 😀

Was there a film called Hot Rod about drag racing? Yeh it’s ace. A competitor jumps in his car when it’s sat in his garage, fires it up & floors it, before oil pressures up to blow the engine 🤦🏼♂️

I would worry about accidentally short faults with both terminals so close to that steel angle. Bit of rubber inner tube or sumat similar would sort that easy enough

Yes, it’s a Honda Insight 2001. The battery pack went “bad” so it got parked. $200. Sounds cheap, mad when you consider what it must have cost new

The RE looks cool. Made a good job of keeping them old skool looking. I’ve got a Triumph Bobber (amongst many others) but I love it. Bit different to every thing else I own, but no less fun to ride

Not sure this counts as retro yet but it was under a tarp in the UP and is now owned by me for a little more than a tank of gasoline in the truck. Manual trans, runs, drives but doesn’t hybrid… What is it ?

Hmm it was hard to tell, they seemed to feel ok, maybe fairly soft? The oil that came out certainly looked and smelled old. I might as well chuck the 20w in, I've got it already. Need to double check I have got enough of it though 😅 I need to work on the Legend this weekend but I'll probably sneak some time to see if I can get the forks apart If you’ve got some 20w kicking around I’d just try it mate, at worst it will just feel a bit harsh & it’s not a big job to swap it for some 10 or 15 if that’s the case
