What sort of input is it you are after?
Edit: Sorry I now realise you want to know what is worth, I haven't a clue, there is actually a what's it worth section on the site which may be more useful to you? But without knowing what condition it is in etc. People will struggle to help very much.

Imagine this for just one example of a set of circumstances, a guy buys an e type on a trailer, comes to pick it up from an agreed spot in his camper, hitches it on and thinks "ooh I'm a bit tired I'll just have a quick kip before towing this home" lies down, pegs it in his sleep and while he is lying there "expired" someone nicks his e-type, suffers massive pangs of guilt about it but can't bring it back for some reason, so he pops a range rover on there, flash forward several months and a load of people he never met end up discussing whats gone on, on a forum he had never heard of, while he is still undiscovered in the back of his camper.

No probs, yes, sorry should have said, vauxhall sourced shocks in my case, the genuine sri shocks are a bit shorter shafted than standard (despite what a lot of even Vauxhalls own parts guys told me), as the SRi already came with a factory drop of either 20 or 25mm, cant remember off the top of my head. I bought quite a few supposed SRi shocks after-market which were not short, so ended up getting from vauxhall when I needed them, a friend of mine got some aftermarket ones the right length, I THINK they were from www.vauxhall-car-parts.co.uk/If you want a cheap "Big brake" upgrade to get an extra 20mm (making 308mm) on front discs, you want to find caliper hangers from a 2.6 GSi, stick your original calipers on the sliders, bung some 308mm discs on and away to go, The MK4 astra GSi has 308mm discs and there is a discs and pads package through vauxhall trade club that is cheaper than buying 308mm discs on there own, so you can buy that and lob or sell on the pads as they wont fit in your calipers, another interesting (if you are sad, like me) thing to note is that there are pads listed as "police spec" or something, which do seem to be a bit grippier too. If you need vectra B info just give me a shout, I was a bit of a Anorak on them.

A few years ago I had a 1.8 SRi, was given it! Fitted new brakes, a tyre and tightened up a bolt on the power steering to stop a leak and drove it for 2 years before the gearbox went bang. To add to your comments I have never had a car with such little grip on the front wheels and it was only 115bhp IIRC. In the wet it would literally light the wheels up in second for a magnificent distance if you wanted to! Prob led to the demise of the gearbox! Ha! I get the impression I could lunch through 3rd in the wet if I wished. Currently researching tyre options/suspension mods that may tame it In confession mode, I have had a LOT of vectra b's, from 1.8 's to GSi's (including my 3.0 converted one) and have driven my mates ST200 with the LSD, Koni suspension and the fancy schmancy brakes (AP 4 pots) I do have a bit of an answer, the best handling I managed to get was Standard SRi shocks, with Apex -40mm springs and Toyo Proxes T1R's on 17" GSi wheels, that combo ALMOST stopped the inside wheel from lighting up at every opportunity and was my ultimate achievement in the vectra B world, a front top strut brace is a good cheap addition to these too. I can also say that if you think it handles bad now, try a set of FK coilovers, that could combine your lit up inner wheel WITH massive understeering WHILE the rear end bounces AND your teeth shatter, all accompanied by the beautiful music of the tyres scrubing through the bodywork. That ST200 with the LSD was completely different, it was surprising how quick a vectra B could shoot itself forward when it had grip, but I could never justify to myself the cost of fitting an LSD to my GSi.

I'm not sure what you mean, but the comment is about right, its so bloody thin its more like plasma cutting, didnt have a spare bit to sleeve over it and weld it up, but I do now, couple that with a fresh roll of wire and I'll be away

This arrived so I can get rid of the wibbly wobbly temporary stuck on one, which makes you feel sea-sick when you look in it. And this is the current state of the exhaust, check this out bortafTail section and part of middle section: The bit that's supposed to be attached in front of that: And where the split was under the cab, which I managed to blow into a massive crevasse, with the mig set as low as it would go: Yes, creative use of chemical metal did get me through the MOT as far as the exhaust went, but now I need to sort it out properly.

It's sitting there for WEEKS? OMG that's hilarious. In Germany it would been towed within HOURS. And the owner has to pay through the nose to get it back from the impound. I tell no lies, this has been there for weeks. I cant see it moving til the council come and collect it to be honest, then i'll see it in the local scrappy soon enough Then you can just go buy it off Stan in the van for cheapness Anyway! If he's still Going?..

Sounds like it might be just about legal, got a pic of it?
The law is 1.6mm over 75% of the tyre as far as I know

If the pump timings ok, I think I'd be having the injectors tested / re-furbed... How would I know if the pump timing is OK though?

Hello all,
I'm having some issues with my P100, where it runs OK 'til its warm, little bit of black smoke on throttle but nothing untoward for an old diseasel, BUT when it gets a bit warmer, about when the cold start advance should have cut-off, it starts to sound like its missing a bit and emitting lots of whitey-blue, diesel stinking smoke, like its really overfuelling, now, diesels are not my forte, but I'm sure someone here will know what to do.
Any help greatly appreciated.

So, I decided to take on the rats nest that was the stereo wiring today, turning this: Into this: So theres a lot less chance of a flaming dashboard now, problem being, the speakers, still didn't work, took the doors apart and found....the speakers were rusted solid, not a quarter mm of deflection, something else for the shopping list
