Good luck with this mate, nice to see you've made a decision after your thread and even nicer to see I influenced it! I'll keep an ear to the ground for you and if you're lucky I may even do my bi-annual thread update. Also may not do that though... If I find any coupes I'll post them here. Specifically a mk2 or would you take a mk2f? Loon/breadie maybe? Thanks dude. I've liked the polo coupes for a while now and it's something that I've always shrugged off but don't exactly know why. I appreciate that big time, mk2s are good, and I'd probably consider a mk2f if it had enough to tempt me in. Breads, I'm not so keen on, and the saloons are spot on, although having a mk2 Jetta, I think it would be nice to go hatchback for a change.

Cool, thanks, Maybe a photo of the back side too if possible? they normally have some numbers around the mounting face. They're definitely the right size and style to what I want, just need to know if they'd fit! Okay, so I got the PCD which is 3.45". I have got some photos for you too. They're not amazing quality and my camera failed to pick up the writing inside. But I can double check to see what it says inside if you would like tomorrow. The photos, they aren't uploading, so I can pm them to you, text, whatsapp, whatever floats ya boat.

After my "fun hatchback" thread And a little bit of convincing from EmDee 's polo thread (that he needs to update!). I've decided I would be open to buy a polo coupe. I haven't got many preferences, but service history ect... I like that! Then again, if the right car comes up at the right price. Basically, what's knocking about? Closer to Oxfordshire the better!

Can you measure the PCD please? Or know what they have fitted to previously? Sorry mate I've just seen this. I can give you a rough measurement sure, bare with me and it'll be done by tonight. I'm not entirely sure what they was previously fitted on. They come with some compomotive splits I brought a while back, they was 3.45" too. Maybe that's why it sticks in my head so much

I have a big bumper rear bumper if you ever need one. It is a VW one not a crappy pattern part. I might possibly be interested in that rear bumper if toveya isn't.

Any damage? How are the vent holes? Cheers Vent holes seem ok, the glove box needs a new spring as it doesn't sit open. There's a little hole on the left side of the bottom drivers air vent(you can see it in the photo), looks like maybe immobiliser or something was attached. I'm open to offers

I've had these laying about for a while now and really need to shift some old parts that I've collected over the years. TWO ONLY Compomotive wheels, 13", I'm unsure of the offset and centre bore. I can however give you a rough measurement(if I remember rightly they are 3.45"?) need a lick of paint. £25 collected? I have this photo only. I can send you more upon request.

Rear bumper I won on eBay a while ago, it came with another rear bumper and some irons I wanted at the time. It looks like someone's done a poor job of trying to smooth bumps/holes/whatever. For that reason, £10 collection only from Bicester. Front bumper. £40 collection only from Bicester. I'm off work until the 14th, so I'm pretty available in terms of collection.

That's interesting to know, I brought the car of Dom about this time last year. You haven't however got any more information about the car have you? He loaded me up with a pretty intensive description before I brought the car, but more the merrier. Your polo coupe is beautiful too, by the way. A car I've always wanted, but they don't come around too often, although there's a lot of mk2f's etc floating about. Thanks for the kind words about the Polo, it's about time I updated the build thread actually, I've not touched it for years. I don't really know a massive amount about your car. It was called Puff or Puffy due to the plate and he loved it very much, had it for years and it was like a member of his family. This doesn't really help you out much, but I'm pretty sure your coilovers are seized You've done well considering I thought parts and other 'goodies' wernt so available for polo coupes. Where can I find your build thread? And although I haven't had a look what they're offering, have you seen VW heritage added a parts for polos on the website. Yeah, he told me that. He was pretty truthful when I was considering buying which I fully appreciate. Cheers for that tho

I'm looking for something for the winter. Wouldn't mind something a little fun, something around the £1000 mark. What's the most fun you've had in a cheap retro hatchback? Whilst catastrophically slow due to the 4 speed, the golf in your avatar is a good one A few bits that came off my car have made their way on to it, like the chrome cam cover for example. I know the previous owner Dom. Anyway, my Polo is the most fun I've had in a retro hatchback, and it was cheap before I chucked money at it, so have a pic. or two... I personally wouldn't class it as retro. I'm 19, and ever since I started driving at 17 ive only ever had 80's VW's (about 4 mk1 golfs and 2 mk2s). So to me 80s motors and early 90's are more of a retro thing. I think what throws people off of calling your car retro is that fact it's 'aged' very well, meaning someone who doesn't know much about cars, might pass it off as a 10 year old car. Just my opinion... But whats to say what is and isn't retro? If you think it's retro then it's god damn retro! I mean, there's no 'real' answer I guess?

Rapidk, interesting but I think I'll pass, thanks though.
Shorty87, I like it. But as I've been driving for a year and a half.. You can only imagine what my insurance quote was. I did suggest it to my dad, but he likes his estate too much as its so convenient to lug curse word about.
Arge, I'm located in Oxfordshire

Jetta needs to get a roof over her head before the weather gets any worse.
I'm open to almost anything, although I do like old volkswagens! Quite like a sound of a polo coupe at the moment. Prise wise £1000 max? Give or take for the right car.

Ok, I have a mk1 golf project. Obviously I have an idea of what I think it's worth, but it's always good to know everyone else's opinions. It's a 5 door, with a Polo GT Coupe engine. No MOT and requires the sills welding. Looks pretty unique, although it is very tatty almost everywhere. Oh, and it's not for sale. Cheers
