Is this the car from the youtube video once posted somewhere round here, where the driver showed how he did the wide fenders relatively quick using plastic sheets for the negative form? I think it is. He has a few videos on his YouTube channel of how he made the wide arches/fender flares/box arches, or whatever you want to call them Sure is….

One of mine from last weekend, the bike is nearly 10 years older than the truck and weighs nearly as much I reckon! Looks like a Honda XT? Proper thumper they were Actually a Yamaha TT500, a US market harder enduro version of the UKs XT, lively old tractor!

Great work...but I don't know how to say this...I think you've got the decals the wrong way round Every Alfa caliper I've seen has the bottom of the text towards the centre of the wheel. The offside one is ok!

I originally had a side pipe installed on my Brat, out the offside. It passed the MOT like that with no issues, I did put a baffle in it prior to the test as I suspected it would be too loud. In the end I did away with it as it was crazy loud and the baffle was too restrictive, I would like to re-install it but I see no easy way of fitting more boxes in to quieten it down. I suspect this is possibly why you don't see them more often on modified road stuff.

I've used this stuff in aerosol form before as a marine engine preservative. It appears to be good quality, however it does smell like sheep (really!)

Got it sorted all, took it directly from the back of the ignition. Still odd as I can’t really see why the voltage drop would be less there but it was just small enough to allow the dist to work so it starts fine now. Thanks for the replies.

Morning all, I’ve just installed a complete electronic distributor setup on a Reliant Scimitar SE5. The issue I’m having is trying to find an ignition switched, stable 12v supply that doesn’t drop when cranking. If I put the supply wire straight on the battery, it starts instantly. However every other feed I’ve tested drops too much when cranking for it to start. Has anyone had any issues with this before?

make sure wherever you mount the vice that you have some really sturdy timber underneath, because they start to wobble pretty quick once youre swinging off breaker bars etc. In my old place the bench uprights were cemented breezeblocks, basically small walls with a wooden top. Pretty strong if the top is screwed down into the blocks. Possibly another option.

Sounds good, I might be up for this.
ETA, curse word just realised I've booked the family fun day at Knockhill for that sunday.
Hopefully next time, I'm glad you posted, there's not enough meets in the NE.

Due to recently having covid and being stuck in the house, I thought it would be an ideal time to build one of these that I've had around for a while. Built up using a non standard carbon fibre chassis and some bling aluminium parts from Hot Racing. A really enjoyable build and a change from the usual cars / trucks, however there is ALOT of stickers.
A clip of testing the radio gear -
And a clip of one in action (not mine) -
Just have to build the others now!

I recently managed to get myself a completely original '77 TT500. A South California import, it obviously hasn't seen much action. Just managed to get it registered, so great for pottering about locally. A proper old school thumper.

I pulled a rattlesnake skin out of the front chassis leg of my Brat. I was terrified in case I discovered the owner!

It’s maybe been mentioned but I’ve been watching 2StrokeStuffing, hugely talented Norwegian bloke scratch building a two stroke in his shed in attempt to make it the highest bhp per capacity ever.

Quite a popular conversion now on fords. I can’t tell you the details but if you have a look on the Retroford website there’s some parts and info. Bellhousing is integrated. 1st is very low on the 6 speed and the rumour is the 5 speed is stronger but not sure how true that is. I’m planning on putting a 6 speed behind a zetec in my escort.
