Right so just swapping to the Rover 200 as my daily, swapped the insurance, done.
Now comes the tax, the prev owner has it taxed until the 1st May
But as I bought the car on Sunday, its now untaxed right?
So I go online to tax it monthly, the dvla want to charge me from the 1st April even though its the 28th
As well as the current owner paying the tax upto the 1st May, so the dvla are going to get the same month paid twice?
I think not!
Should I leave it and tax it online on the 1st May or pay £20 for 2 days?
Also just sold the metro, cancelled the direct debit, should I sorn it in case the new owner decides not to tax it? Or would that put him at ANPR risk if he leaves it until the 1st?
confusing this!

I have done 1600 miles in this since Jan and it runs great. Head gasket was done when I bought it. Low miles cheap transport.
Body is tatty, very rusty rear arches and front hydragas is flat. Cracked drivers mirrior and a rear wheel is imbalenced I think.
Drives fine though round town, quite nippy. Good tyres, alloys, cd player. Starts first time, squeely aux belt and maybe a pulley.
Cheapo car till xmas then would be a good breaker.
Looking for £250

1500cc Allegro bottom end and gearbox. Has a 1750cc clutch fitted, was running fine when removed from car, was showing 70k miles but engine may have done less.
Clutch is good, all gears worked fine. Selling due to fitting a larger engine.
Engine only sale as pictured but I have lots of other Allegro bits.
Collection from Belper, its heavy, uncleaned as removed from car a month ago, hasn't been stood long.
Looking for £50, I have lots of other Allegro bits as well.

It currently has stag wheels on it, powder coated white, looks good but they wont fit metro hubs. Looks like it will end up with mgf wheels.

Well I got the mgf, drives nice and straight, runs very well, nice and smooth.
Only problem is the ecu seems to be limiting the rpm to 5800rpm so no vvc at the moment!
I'm hoping its just the cam sensor. Tried leaving off the battery and reseating the connector but no joy.
All the other connectors seem correct, whats the best way to diagnose it? its not obd2!

I was running it on the red esc module, once it was running it was certainly better, more power.
Cold starts were hard work though, took a lot more turning over to get it to fire.
Not sure if it was just the bike carb setup.

This reg is for sale
Looking for £200 plus the £80 fee.
The buyer will receive the 10 year certificate straight from the dvla in their name. I can also send the physical plates as well if that helps.
I have spoken to the DVLA today and they said the process should take 10 days to complete. Then the new owner can keep the reg on the cert for 10 years or transfer it to another vehicle.
