Been plugging away and heading back out in a minute but over the weekend I gave over a couple of days to collecting something I've been after for a while! First I took these And attached them to some angle and pit boards Which made a big dolly so I could collect this Wtf have you bought that for I hear you ask. Well I've had an idea to get the back end of a van for a while and for two reasons, 1 to make a canopy for the back of mine, and 2 to make a trailer! And this one was such a bargain I couldn't resist anyway, turns out to be immaculate pretty much underneath, and overall, in better nick than mine as well!! Anyway, stashed it at wrk and I'll comeback to it when I get this one done. Carried on playing with the electrics, needed to make sure the back to front end harness was long enough with the ECU located where it is (yes, probably should have checked that first!) Still, that's where we are so out came the dash so that I could strip out the rest of the old petrol heater wiring? What a mess under there, and some of the other wiring looks a bit dodgy as well! Still, all out and new cable partly in place. Couple of cables/connectors that I 'think' are for the radiator fan but need to make sure before I feed any more of the cable. So, that's this evenings job. Well, along with anything else that takes my fancy! Laters, Pete This looks such a good shell, I almost picked up a bare van shell in that colour for £250 last year, It had been used for parts then stored but it was crushed for scrap in error, project denied . Anyway i'm watching your project and it looks tidy and going together nice.

i'm always into estates and vans as i'm always using them as work vehicles, this is nice and ticks a lot of boxes, space in the back 5 seats and good on fuel, not to mention a looker as well, nice one

It does look ok in those pics, The work i want to do is more cleaning up and detailing, I have a few odd noises on it aswell, So i am going to replace all the obvious worn parts, As you probably know your budget can get silly quite fast lol

cars like the 2cv, have amazing lines and shape, giving any car your own touch will always make people look or look away, but good of you to break from the standard resto look, that metal roof looks nice, when people started doing the rat look vw's other owners used to look at them as blacksheep at shows, anyway nice project please excuse my bad typing keyboard failure:(

so this is a for sale thread? I was just showing it as a readers ride, But in all honesty it does not get used that much and like many people on here i have more cars than i have time to use, and if i get the van i'm after then it might have to go due to space, But if that happens i will make a thread in the cars for sale section.

Aslong as the person that steals your car does not have a GPS blocker your fine, sadly cheap GPS signal blockers are turning up on sites that just plug into a cigarette lighter, The sad truth is as technology moves on thieves get smart with it. Remove the cigarette lighter? LOL, thats going to help a bit, my mate used to have a siren under the seat with a hidden OFF switch, but if the ignition was put on you had to manually reset it, more annoying than anything but it did do the trick one night.

This is one of those cars i love as a stand by runner, Its the 115 bhp engine mated to a 6 speed (5+E) box, It has the classic front wing wheel arch rust, Its got a few issues such as a beep and the wiring on the hatch is messy and it crunches into 3rd and 4th, But it always starts and it gives nearly 60mpg on the motorway and has plenty of room, The interior is from the urS6 version as are the headlights, I have looked on www.howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/audi_100_avant_turbo_diesel and it says 5 on the road and 2 on sorn, I never knew so few were about ..Its badged as an A6 but it is the 100, just saying as someone will spot it lol

nice usable estate i have an Audi 100 c4 2.5 tdi estate, Lowered so the arches are level with the top of the tyres, It gets a bit near speed bumps but its ok if you take it slow, but its a big old motor and runs on veggie oil quite nicely.
