I made a DME jumper and keep it in my glovebox too. Too handy in a sticky situation haha, although thankfully mine has not gone on me yet!
Car looks good though, my mum has had 2 guards red 944s and as much as I hate to admit it it's probably one of the nicest colours.

I presume the build sticker is not on the boot floor? It used to be Sapphire blue metallic but was re-sprayed it's current shade of blue in 2011. Totally different to the original colour so no dice

In some shots it looks like Baltic Blue, but the shots do make it look a little 'off'. There is a chance that the original colour was mixed incorrectly. I had this happen with my Triumph Stag. A specialist felt was Leyland White 19 but Leyland did look more old English. In the end I went to Painstore in Leamington where they confirmed it was Leyland 19 but gone wrong a little. They tinted it to the pattern and where I had the car painted you would not be able to tell the match was that good. If it were me I'd be looking for a paint supplier to match it up. These suppliers can also supply in rattle cans but they generally need a panel to work off. The fuel cap for instance would be fine. Sounds like it may be a case of that. It also looks a bit like cobalt blue but mines a bit lighter. God knows what colour it is. I have the rear valance in the shed because it's broken so might get somewhere to take a sample from that. I'm hoping that whoever does the paint can also supply rattle cans or the mix up so I can have some spare to myself incase I need to do any extra wee bits!

Theres something so strangely satisfying about the poverty spec early 924. Like the 914 too in fact.

So I promised myself that as soon as I saw the first morning gritter that I would tuck the Porsche up and get back into the BMW. Obviously the weather has gotten better since I swapped cars but thats just the way life works isnt it! Anyway, the 518 had been sitting for a couple of months, and aside from taking it up and down the street to clear the brakes every couple of weeks it hadn't done anything but sit. But I swapped the insurance, went outside and went for a drive. Coming from the Porsche it was quite serene and quiet. There are no squeaks or rattles to be heard, and everything is working/running perfectly. Do I need to say how much I love this car? It's MOT is due on the 10th of December, so i'll see how it fares, although I can't see it failing to be honest. To welcome it back onto the road I gave it an oil change. The first since we got back from the 3500 mile trip so it needed it. Gave it a quick hoover and a check over and its grand. In the run-up to changing my insurance over, I went with my mate Andrew to pick up his winter car. An orient blue 518i touring. Sold by the same dealer, both on N-reg's. Strange. His one is substantially worse nick than mine however and he's had a fair few issues since buying it so I still have something to brag about Not really sure what's going to happen to it this winter if anything. I'm leaving the stickers on because I'm vain and like the attention. I just like floating about in it.

Alright, Possibly bit of a difficult request but I can only find full front bumpers for sale and I'd rather just buy the splitter itself. It's this one, from the original Megane: Its pretty fat. The facelift had a thinner one. I need the beefy early one. Would need to be delivered unless you're near Aberdeen. Cheers Folks.

Just done a few silly things like 13x6.5 plates and stickers. Gave it a wash and a tidy up. And thankfully she doesnt grace RetroRides with her presence, which means I can tell you that I HAVE bought wheels. I'm refurbing them at the mo and am going to fit new tyres and nuts etc. for her christmas. They are going to look excellent.

Lovely car, I adore the blue! Where did you get the engine mou td from? Might get myself a set! cheers! The engine mounts I just bought from eBay. They are Meyle ones and fluid filled. Make sure you get fluid filled ones otherwise you'll be replacing them once a year, and they are not particularly fun to replace!

Every time I pick up a car I just phone my insurer and say "i've bought x car and need temporary cover to get it home". 24hrs is always within a quid of a week insurance so I always get a week.
To be honest I use temp cover all the time and because your insurer already knows your details the call takes minutes. My record is 4.

Great figures! I do the filter from the side with a wheel off Yup, pretty good considering! You might be onto something with the filter. That would have resulted in less suffering. I love this car! I particularly like the colour, such a nice shade of blue, plus with the wheel colour, it looks awesome! Cheers, Andrew thanks! I'm actually hunting for the paint code so I can re-paint the front bumper and fit a turbo rear valance this winter. It really is a lovely colour when all polished up

Just remember to pronounce it Kwo-re, not Cue-or or Sew-or like mighty car mods. Cuore is heart in Italian. Must admit I have been saying it totally wrong ever since I knew these existed. Well schooled. Ha, that looks absolutely amazing thanks! I'm actually almost so tempted to buy my own and go a bit mad with it but I cant have 3 cars even if one is a rollerskate But really, that photo is saved for future reference... Sorry to photobomb your thread - Love doing quick photoshops and it's such a good shot I couldn't resist. Glad it's fuelling some mojo.. I'm in the middle of the house-moving process, and [fingers crossed it doesn't fall through] the new one has - for the first time in my life - a big garage, : D - so dreams of a project Cuore or Mira-Gino loom large in my head too, if I don't spend all the time fiddling with my SF5 Forester No problem whatsoever. You're just adding fuel to the fire haha. Though lets face it you hardly need a 'big' garage to house a cuore!

You can use a manual box on the yrv turbo swap Still... The engines are at least twice as expensive and if I'm honest I prefer the way an na car drives especially a little light hatchback. The sirion swap has been done enough times to make it a clearly easy viable cheap swap so that's the plan

After next summer circumstances will change and she won't need a car. So that's when I can start doing blue t*rd madness and do a sirion swap and coilovers etc. It will happen! Only ever driven a stock 'courtesy car' one but I loved the lightness and nippiness. Was just reading that you can apparently fit the 1.3 4 pot turbo out of the YRV in them with minimal fuss link(you have to go semi-auto as the Cuore's gear/clutch can't handle the torque - so not to everyone's taste) 130hp madness in a teeny little mini-box... Must be so much fun I'd love a retro Mira/Gino bodied one if I had a chance... To be honest I love driving a manual too much to suffer through a semi auto for the sake of 30hp! Sirion 1.3 and engine loom will be perfect. At least all of these engines are on the same platform so finding bits or things that fit is really easy I was admiring one of these this morning. The real successor to the Mini rather than that bloated pretender. They are ace. With a couple of mods I bet it would easily out-handle a LOT of cars. Looks great! We used to be big Daihatsu fans in my family until they left the UK market. thanks! I've never had one. Always had a strange want for a Hijet, and a Materia for that matter. But a Cuore has always been up there at the top of the list of cars I need to own!

Love love love Cuore / Miras—What the metro should have been if they'd done it in the naughties. Lucky GF! (do you plan to do an MCM "Blue T*rd" style sirion transplant?) They are comical to drive aren't they? I love it though. Surprisingly nippy too. Not while she owns it unfortunately. Just cosmetic stuff in the mean time.
