Unfortunately nothing major has fallen off these past two weeks but I have been given this!!!! A brand new garage door, was a special order as its only 6' tall instead of 6'6''. Apparently they changed their mind and the bloke took away and stored it in his garage just incase it came in handy! Well my friend was sign writing his race car and he asked if he knew anyone that might have a use for it? Hell yeah thats always me! It' go nicely on the back of the garage on the side of the house. I was surprised when I turned up to collect it that it has all the brackets hinges screws keys handles instructions etc attached to it, he said it was brand new and it really is! We've already hatched a plan on how were going to make it taller! We'l install it at the normal height and fill in the bottom with a sheet of metal or more likely some Upvc facia rivited along the bottom!

I thought I wouldnt be collecting much as I'm running out of storage but then you just cant believe your eyes and ears in what I do! One of the lads we take over from asked if I needed any turfs? As it happens I need many! Some fell off the back of something earlier that day and he cleared them but didnt take them away, just the two he wanted. On return to the site I found 20 Turfs top quality too. This is the second turf load to be unturfed recently on our road, unfortunately I was off on the first one! I have bought grass seed to do whats needed but I havent had time to get it down and now its a bit too cold so this has come in handy to get a head start. I was out in the garden finishing off until 7pm tonight in the pouring rain laying the last of it! I did try and tell her that wrapping presents can be done when its dark outside but hey thats all done too! I also came across this nice gate I saw this bracing on the back at first and thought whatever it was would be well made and sturdy and definately worth a second look, so I was quite pleased to turn it over and find its a brand new gate! I've got just the job for it too, to connect our garden with next doors as the kids play with each other in the summer I cut a hole in the hedge but its a bit open and this will plug that gap like it was meant to be! Thats it for last week, lets see what falls off this week, I'm hoping for a xmas tree!

Noticed my neighbour had a pile of scrap wood on their drive and that they had just replaced their rabbit hutch. They were going to get a man and a van to shift it but being the kind hearted neighbour I am I offered to do it for free! This was the old rabbit hutch! A childrens wooden play house! 6'ft square it cant be more than a year old! So I decided to leave that out of the skip seeing as the last one I bought cost me £200 secondhand! One Sunday Morning I found this on the verge, which is basically one of those 4'ft sq little tool sheds you get in B&Q for about £70! Brand new it must have been on the way home when from what I gather by the evidence found the old bungee straps gave way! It is damaged but nothing that cant be fixed. Not sure if I have room for it but you never know?

South Coast? Kettles always on here (well it is if I'm at home!) So if your coming passed Portsmouth your welcome. I know what you mean when you have to make your own tea and sandwiches on a hard working at home day, really slows you down! Its always a dilema do I take my boots off? Or risk it? That garage looks a hundred times better!

Love that racer! Saddle like a razor blade! Reminds me of my youth! Love the car seat too. Id like to have something made similar forthe games room when its done a bit like Top Gear. I notice you've been down the bread aisle too?

You cant beat having time on your hands! For most people time isnt your own what the demands of the modern day life and familys etc. I'm lucky I work a firemans type shoft 4 on 4 off days and nights so thats 6 months of the year really! I couldnt half the things I have with just a weekend off. I'm a little dissapointed you have shoes and socks on whilst working in these photos, feel you went all health an safety mad on us. I've got some spare hard hats if you want them;)

Nice one! don't worry too much It doesnt really get used other than to sit on. Theres one of those scooters sat on the driveway opposite but the neighbours are a bit ellusive! I might have some wood for you but I suspect you have more than enoughj at the moment? I've got a big branch from the willow tree that needs cutting up and theres a tree trunk that we will be cutting up not sure what it was maybe a cherry but it defineatly used to blossom? Just need to repair the chainsaw first!

Ran over this merry fellow in the middle of the A3 at 0200am Sunday. Jack loves pirates so when he opened the curtains and saw him out in the garden it provoked two hours of mystery fun and adventure and kept him out of the house so I could sleep! He's had his fun with it so i've binned it now, I'm not a complete womble!

Luck we made the extension as its now almost full to the roof! We did sift through and throw half a van of timber away! I'm not a complete hoarder! So after reckoning 20 mins to 2hrs to have a tidy up it took 2 days three boxes of screws, four battery recharges and 8 cups of tea! It was great fun though a bit of light hearted no pressure relief from working relentlessly on the garage! Everytings in one place and hopefully it will stay dry. Back to work on the garage! The Mrs wanted time to do some xmas shopping so I had quality time with Ferne and Matt was left on his own! He's been working on the path in front of the door. Did I say that daylight was working against us? Theres always a bit of muck left over you cant waste so here he is working till 1830 tonight! Bless him!

The outside is nearing completion and as the weather/daylight starts to turn against us we thought we better start getting the inside ready for working. I'l be painting the walls/framework and floor then we can get the electrics going. We thought on initial quote it would take 20-mins or so to chuck stuff out! Then maybe 2 or so hours? 2 days later its mostly done! How many jobs do you start and one thing turns to another? The games room was stacked up in there so we planned to put that onto its own base and cover it over till its D-Day of 1st March next year! It came with some metal roof panels so we reckoned we'd wrap it all up with those instead of Tarp. There were also a couple of piles of pallets hiding in there. The timber needed a good home too. This is the games room all stacked up, looks like a sows ear at the moment but I have confidence that a silk purse will evolve from it! [img src=" i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h401/ashley115s/IMG_1935.jpg"] Using the pallets and the old 8x4 Sheets we made what turned into the largest hedgehog home! By the end of the day we had this. We still hadnt re homed the wood pile and had plenty of material left over so on Sunday we doubled the size of it! The timber that might need to complete the garage is within easy reach.

Found this in the metal skip. Looks like new apart from a scratch. Same as the B&Q heaters they're selling at the moment, might come in handy in the garage. Unless I go for a log burner which seems popular these days and i've turned into my dad hording timber as well! This pile is mostly from work The latest haul coming from a Mr.Golf estate. I noticed as he sped past me that he was carrying 2''x2'' 3m lengths on the roof of his car with what looked like green rope/string. I thought that would be handy need plenty of that on the garage build! Around the bend and we were greated by a wall of brake lights and stationary traffic as Mr.Golf driver was running back towards us picking wood up off the road! Crazy man! My dad got out to help him as I donned the beacons and he told my dad he didnt want it anymore he'd have to get some delivered now! The string turned out to be a couple of bungee straps!!!! One of which was still good so we kept that too for good measure chucked the wood on the bed of the truck and swiftly nipped home! Ive used over half of that so far. I've always had a love for pallets and really want to make something out of them, work always bin them. I've yet to find the time to build anything yet but one day when time is my own? Four years ago I didnt have any ply sheets kicking about until I borrowed some from a neighbour. I have since collected a few along the way. Those are just the rough ones, Clean ones live in the father in laws garage next door. I drove over this fella at 0200am on Sunday. Good knows how he came to be there but Jack loves pirates so when he open the curtains and saw this it fuelled a two hour session of magic and mystery, the mrs had to hide some sweets for him to find as treasure! He's had his fun so thats gone! These arent from work but across the road. My neighbour called saying their having a new wall and drive and the workers were dumping all the old on the road for a grab loader to collect and I need hardcore. I found all these amongst them so I left the hardcore and rummaged the block paving! I'm gutted because theyve just picked up the rest of the old drive and the other neighbours beat me to it! Must be over 30m2 staring at me over the road!
