Today I went to change the ''full bowl stop'' thinggie on one carb to almost start a fire in the engine bay. Started the car as usual, things was looking like it was repaired and all of the suddendly fuel was comming out from almost all orifices of the carbs, yes both of them. Turn the switch of the engine to not cause a fire. I need to take them apart to inspect whats wrong with them... Put some jack stands on the rear to see if I can tackle the ehxaust during the week or the doors...
Damn 1 step forward 2 steps back... this will have to change...

Regards rough running on LPG, a strip and clean of the vapouriser(s) and possibly new diaphragms could be a big help. I've had a couple that have been used on vehicles for a few years and are full of 'heavy ends' which stop them working entirely as they should. I'd also give the LPG carb a look at, assuming it's similar to an SU then piston damper and possibly the internal spring could be in need of attention? Otherwise, looking good. Thanks for that idea because I was just reading some LPG common problems and I read the same thing. My daily '96 Mitsubishi Lancer 1.3 12v is running a bit heasitant on lpg sometimes even after I changed the filters. Need to strip and clean the vaporiser as mine uses 4 Keihin lpg injectors. Any ideas as to clean the keihin injectors?!?

Another little update without pics... Just made a spare wheels rack so I can store them neatly almost like this one in the photo... Now I'll need to make 2 more for the other wheels and to find the wheels like in the pic for my other car...

I've just checked the filler can that I bought some time (years???) ago and found that the lid was slightly open and all almost dry, almost.
Done some research to find that Acetone would make it wet again so I decided to try some nail polish remover with acetone to see if it was real... Just tried it and it's good again.
To make sure I tried some with the hardener to see if it was OK to be used on the car and I must say I was impressed with the result. It may take more time to dry but it hardenes really well. Some quid (Euros) spare here....

Quick update.
Today as it was holiday I had time to work on the car. Started making ground for the day by pulling and putting the Volvo in 2 stands so I could run her through the gears as my fathers 190d Merc. is, at the moment, a none runner due to a bad dif and other shanannigans. Started her and something that is becoming usual caught my eye and stop her. It was spilling fuel through the carburetors. I thought to my self ''I think I replaced the full bol carb thingie that blocks the fuel getting in.'' Took a look on my box of carbs spares and indeed I did, so next on the line will be to return the original ones as they were working great.
FIY and note to self.
In the old days things were getting made to last. Nowadays they built things on a profit base...
That will be a job for another day.
Re-started patching the missing doors and some random hole that were not needed like 5 holes for the rearview mirrors.!?!?!?!?
Welding done, some dents taken care of, some large holes filled, then grinding and now the're done. Next it will be the daunting task of sanding, rustproofing, priming and paint the inside of the doors...
No photos today but they will get here some time in the near future...
Need to buy some sheet metal to finish the back and finish welding on the car...
