Me thinks you have achieved the best stance ever on an Equipe Drive some more before deciding about any more changes I would, it looks well, now just keep any other decisions about making it drive best.

Been waiting for these photos Dean! From those pics, they look awesome, well done for making it work. Get some more up so we can see more of the car, I can imagine the Bond will look quite different with a wider track. They look great painted too!

Looks like a good show. The more times I see a P5B, the more I think they are absolutely stunning. They have a real presence, a combination of regalness about them, with thuggish gangster muscle, especially de bumpered. Kind of like a posh British Amazon. One day if I can afford a solid one....... Blimey, that is some project, good luck, that could be great!
Long shot but - based on the chapter on Turner cars in the book 'Specialist Sports Cars' by Richard Heseltine, there was a guy called Mark Clarkson who was a Turner devotee, who created a copy of a Turner Mk1 called the MC Acer in the 80's. If you can track him down, he may have some knowledge about the moulds?

Umm, you seem to have a lot of ideas going around in your head let me put it that way. Firstly, look at the price of petrol here in the UK, you may be shocked, in fact, your monthly budget could well be swallowed up by fuel alone to drive 1500 miles if you choose any car with sub 30mpg.
Also, if you want something safer and quicker than a Micra, that pretty much kills the Mini option.......

Start with this - www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible_pg4.htmlYou will have a number of things to think about. Not only the rolling diameter in isolation but also arch clearance. Personally I would try and limit the increase as much you can.

Long shot this one I know! I have bought 4 wheels with tyres on Fleabay. Location - LLanrhystud SY23 5BZ. West Wales. I could do with getting them anywhere nearer to me, ideally West London, or Salisbury area. PM if by some miracle you are near there.....

I echo what everyone else has said. The car is a real credit to you, having the vision to transform the car from a tatty replica to what you have today is very cool. It'll never be finished but that is the fun of long term ownership isn't it, you'll keep improving it for years. Look forward to seeing it at Prescott.

Looks like a great meet, however, you can keep all of the Supercars, this shows them all how good a modified retro can be. I'm in love Anyone know anything about it?

I don't see why a permanant seat mounting is an issue, your supposed to pull them down tight so they don't move anyway, I would say an ISO mount welded directly in is probably better, the idea is that the seat does not move, bubs should be strapped in and in the event of anything bad happening, the seat protects and prevents any whiplash type injuries hopefully. we had a lot of trouble finding a modern seat that would fit the rear belts in a Mk2 Astra securely and that was 9 years ago, so even if you refit the rear seat and the belts, you may still have problems. Exactly what I was thinking, why do I need a rear seat? If I can fix the Isofix direct to the floor, that will be the safest and most compact option.

Now, this is definitely not a normal RR post so here are some nice pics before I start on my dull topic - Right, now I've got those out of the way, if you have no knowledge or interest in babies, you may as well stop reading, this will bore you. I'll try and make this as straightforward as possible - - Baby on the way - Want to be able to take baby out with us occasionally in the Triumph, otherwise I fear I'll hardly ever get to use it - Triumph now has no rear seats or rear belts Trying to figure out how to fit a baby seat in the back. 1) I could put the rear seats back in and mount baby seat fixed with rear belts. Lots of people have done this but complained that the baby seats never fit all that well. It will also be pretty tight for space with baby seat on top of rear seat. 2) I am thinking about using an Isofix base, mounted to some bespoke mountings on the car body. I presume this can be done somehow, by someone with metalworking skills. This base would then be permanent to the car and the seat can just be clipped in and out. Potential issue with this is that the baby seat would in effect be 100% secured via the base and not leant against a rear seat. Would this make the seat any less secure? Any ideas or experience welcomed. Cheers

They are kind of cool but let's not forget, they really do drive badly, absolute porridge, my mum had a few and they were all the same. Rose tinted specs help with some things but they will need a lot of work to make them into a nice driving car. Comfy for a passenger though!

Some more nice pics! Indeed, it looks like you were only 2 cars behind me in the queue. I'm starting to think we should get some form of RR identifier for shows, anyone up for RR tattoos on the neck?

OK. So if I, as part of that viewing public, aim to get there for 10, am I actually likely to be spending the morning in a traffic jam...? The general public and the show cars sit in the same traffic jam up until very close to the entrance. I've been the last 2 years - 1st year got there pretty early, before 9am I reckon, quite a queue. Last year, got there later, probably around 10am and there was less traffic. Not sure what to conclude from that other than leave when is good for you as the queues aren't easy to predict! Hope to see some of you there!

I do like a Metro - especially your Gta My mum had a series of them when I was 1st driving, passed me test in a 1.0 City, then a GTa, then a GTi. It may just be nostalgia but I think they were a great drive!

One of my favourite events of the year and fingers crossed for this weather to continue. Anyone up for meeting on the way from the SE or London? I was thinking about somewhere around where the M25 meets the A3. Fairly early in the morn' If anyone is interested, we could then firm up a place and time.
