Hey, I'm having a quiet evening of distraction and brain storming and currently thinking about dashboard dials for the Galant and the whole dial setup on the MX-5. Would love to see your inspirational dashboard/dial pics. I'll post a few of my favourites, two of which come from our very own RR community! Thanks, and look forward to seeing what you all come up with Chris KFW knows all about this one!! I love it! Loving... absolutely loving the simplistic stripped out functional style of the racing dash's too

My humble attempt... It's probably to do with me driving around with center clocks right from the beginning, but it's still my most favourite place for a set of gauges

Dials are a bit old fashioned these days if you want space age, lots of stuff around to help you buy or build LCD screens to display your readings, this is quite pretty in an over flash Japanese kind of way.

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.

This is my 'work in progress' dash. (poor photo, my apologies) The glovebox is narrowed to clear the rollcage. The chrome trim has been narrowed to suit, and to fit around these gauges The whole point being that although the dash is modified it should look stock, as if it left the factory that way. Additional gauges (boost, CH temp Fuel Pressure) will be supplied by Stack and mounted down the tunnel. The point being that they look aftermarket. I have a 'thing' for dashboards and gauges ;D

I keep looking at the picture of the dash in the van. I really want to do something different with that as well, but I'm still coming up with nothing I'm liking the Volvo though, think something like that would look very cool.

Here's mine it's not the best but I wanted it to look clean and simple. I put a Nissan engine in my capri and wanted to use the Nissan dials for ease so made this dash from mdf and covered it in suede material. Also moved the heater controls down so I could put extra dials in the radio space to keep and eye on my motor. Also made a custom steering wheel centre from an old pepperpot alloy. Work in progress:

I'm tempted to do something with the dash-top on the CSK, either cover it in leather in a similar vein to the door cards and the seats or some kind of flocking.
