Need some of the combined nouse and knowledge-base to come up with some kind of replacement for the spotlights I've currently got fitted in the front bumper of my RX7
They are 5" in diameter and about 2.5" in depth. Now that seems to be a bit of an unusually small size as most of the Cibie stuff comes in at about 6".
The lights themselves work fine and there's nothing really wrong with them except they use the horrible little H2 bulb.
These give out terrible light and I tried a slightly higher wattage version which burnt itself out pretty quick. I believe they are prone to arcing on the bulb holder or something. Either way they are pretty naff as lights and completely un-upgradable.
The pic below shows the lights and they're marked up on the lens as Cibie 40, with Valeo and a part number inside the unit. They're from a Mazdaspeed A-Spec bumper that you can see on the front of my RX in the bottom pic. That looks like they give out a fantastic blue laser-like glow but in actual fact that was LED sidelights I'd bunged into them and a bit of a long exposure ;D
So, I could do with finding some similar sized units that take a more commonly found and easily upgraded bulb.
Any ideas?

If I can't find suitable replacements I'll just put them back on the car and live with it but it just doesn't hit the mark.
