Hi, I've just finished my project car (hurrah!!) so my Honda is up for grabs as I can't afford to run two cars while at uni.
I bought it as a runaround and it's done me proud, it's a 1992 Accord Coupe 2.0, heres the info -
Only 3 previous owners (myself included)
Quite a lot of history with it
Wolfrace alloys - not my cup of tea really but would look better lowered (4 x 114.3 so loads of wheel options)
JVC KD-R601 CD/MP3 player works with Iphone/ipod etc
Doesn't burn/lose any oil/water
Always starts (left it for a month outside during the snow and it started first time)
Just had two new tyres and fuel filter
MOT until 20th April
Mileage 155701
Tax until end of March
Heater works really well (only car I've had with a heater lol)
Cruise control
Central locking
Alarm/imobiliser (tbh I never use these)
Electric windows and sunroof (all work)
Electric mirrors
Interior in good condition, no rips etc
Power steering
ABS
Drivers airbag
These are pretty popular in America and theres loads of tech info etc on the cb7 tuner forum,
apparently the UK spec Prelude 2.2 vtec engines go straight in (easy to get 200hp from these).
Reasonably quick, comfortable to drive and with a few subtle mods they can look pretty good.
Bad bits
A/C doesn't really work
Bit of rust on the rear arches showing through
Petrol tank leaks if filled over 3/4 (havent had time to replace/look at this but they are available), I just keep it around half full.
Could do with lowering!
Sounds like the exhuast is blowing a bit
Idle is a bit rough sometimes and has started to stutter a bit when driving on light throttle (2k revs), I've replaced the fuel
filter and cleaned the IAC valve which has improved it. Think it's the o2 sensor as I tried disconecting it earlier and
it didn't stutter afterwards. A new one is aprox £50 quid off ebay for a NGK one. Saying that after I plugged it back in it didn't stutter again
so could just be a bad connection. I havent been using it much recently so it might just need a decent run.
Its only going to be insured until Thursday as I'm swapping my no claims over to my Cortina so if you want a test drive then it would have to
be before then unless you have your own insurance that would cover it.
Could do with it gone pretty quickly hence asking £600 or £500 without the CD player as I'll need the space on my drive,
It would pretty much drive anywhere fine, doesnt overheat and gets up to temp quickly. Let me know if you want
any pics or other info
Pretty sure it would go through an MOT as long as you didn't overfill the tank and sorted the exhaust.
PM me or call on 07504021821, my names Tom.
Here are some pics of the pea green beauty!
Cheers
