I havent been able to polish my 944 since it was rebuilt, havent detailed the engine bay, or fixed many niggles..no gararge you see..and its always dark/rain/snow/cold blah whinge.. But the crappy waether has not stopped me getting a large pile of trick parts off ebay, like fat rollbars, big brakes, bushes ect.. The desire to give my car some love, fix the little issues, and fit parts is driving me mad..the only thing to comfort me is this forum, and the amazing build threads you people have, and again, I cant wait for spring/summer so I can see some of these cars in the fleash. Put simply- the amazing forum, amazing cars and amazing characters are massivly appreciated right now. What about you lot then? we havent all got gararges. what are you waiting to fit? waiting to paint? summer wheels ect..pics of your parts would be good too

Current job queue is handbrake cables, wash out and repack CVs and a transmission oil change on my bug. I'm mostly just waiting for tomorrow when hopefully a mate will be able to help me as I don't like working on my own all that much. Much better to invite a mate around, get it done in half the time and then have a beer afterwards! Also I need to borrow some tools off him as I don't have random allen key sockets, plus I'm a little wary about buggering it all up as it's my only car and if those CV joints don't all go back in the way they came out then I'm a bit stuck! It's mostly boring maintenance but it'll be a relief to have a handbrake again after about 3 months of having to look for a flat place to park and just leaving it in gear!

Currently....
EscRot runs out of MOT this weekend. It needs a weldathon (both inner and outer cills, bootfloor, strut top, and a couple of floorpans) as well as a spruce up inside (recover front seats), change of wheels, a pair of front springs, probably a brake rebuild too and a new exhaust.... before the shows start next year (really I want it back OTR for RRG)
Micra, needs the exhaust adjusting, cambelt and waterpump, a couple of trim bits tidying (bumpstrip on drivers door and a mudflap), a bloody good clean (ive yet to clean it since I bought it 4months ago) and I need some music in it!!!
Not much to be going on with then.... :0

I feel your pain, just as the wife lets me off doing house jobs and shopping duties the flippin snow comes again, I'm dying to fit the exhaust on my Quantum but I just don't fancy rolling about on the floor in this weather I also want to buy these cgi.ebay.co.uk/ford-TRANSIT-2003-3dr-chrome-door-handle-cover-STEEL-/150535029935?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item230c9644afsince I measured up the tranny rear handle to be the same size as the mk3 fiesta (where the quantum gets its from) Quantum 2+2 so this is good news, the transit handle is fractionally smaller length wise so the cover should just drop on, and width wise its 4mm bigger so this can (depending on fit / look) be filed down to 40mm or be left at 44mm and the handle will just be a tad bigger but there is room in the recess, the transit handle looks slightly deeper but again some fettling should see it trimmed back so the question is can I justify over £50 for 2 handles as I'm proper skint?

The Carlton is waiting for the floor painting and then bolting back together, but will be a while as the last lot of paint I did took 3 days to dry and that was inside.
Polo isn't waiting. So far i've sorted the stereo, relayed the headlights, fitted new disks/pads/lines. Todays job is to replace the ARB bushes and steering rack gaiter then take it for the re-test tomorrow. I've then got 15mm lowering caps to go on the front, swap the wheels so the front tucks more, fit some crazy wheel trims and get busy with a few tins of dayglo paint.

Not having a garage is such a pain it's untrue. I've got a spare suspension setup for my MR2 that I want to strip down and refurbish. Trying to work out how I can get the inserts out myself before I can even start! *sigh*

continue restoration of current project. Cold weather has put a stop to under sealing and rust proofing, my garage is not heated. And trapped nerve in my back has stopped me doing much else indoors
