Was originally single carb but I converted it to twin Dellorto spec with totally rebuilt carbs and cylinder heads(twin carb are different to single carb).Heads mildly ported and match ported to manifolds and surfaces skimmed. Stock these engines are between 95-105 bhp and in a light car like a Sud it flies. Body work needs finishing and painting but is very near done. All rub strip holes down sides have been welded up and are painted in red oxide for protection. More info on request. Only selling as its my daily at the moment and I feel the need for something a bit more modern and possibly tdi ish!!

WOW this is lovely wish I had something practical to offer you as a swap, for the first time in living memory all my 'spare' cars are hugely impractical big engined or lhd...
good luck with the sale if i can think of anyway of slipping that sort of money past my mrs in all honesty I'd buy this like a shot ALWAYS wanted one just like this.

I'd love this but up to my limit with what i have As said it sits very nice, really suits those black Revolutions I remember doing the front brakes on one of these in the early 90's, was a three day freakin nightmare, they drive and sound fantastic though, i'd still have one in a second. GLWTS

There is the original bumpers but i prefer the look of it without all the plastic bumpers and trim. The side mounts for the bumpers have been smoothed out also.

Hi, Would you be interested in a deal on my 1989 vw golf mk2 16 valve? 108,000 miles Fresh cam belt, tensioner, water pump Injector seals and seats New Fuel pump and accumulator 280mm front brakes (g60's) New Eibach roll bars Poly bushed front suspension Milteck 4-1 manifold Nearly new Yoko Prada's Koni shocks and H&R springs Excellant body, never been welded Sailed through its MOT last month (so 11 months) Taxed 30mpg around town and upto 40 on a run (if you stick to 70 ) I'm in Cheshire, I've owned the car for almost 3 years but really fancy a sud (one that runs, I have one in bit in my garage and 33 also in bits!!) Cheers Steve

Pic below below, all I have at hand. You can see the only fault with the paint which is a small dent repair that I haven't got around to finishing. Its also back on its original 4 lamp front grill. Pic taken about 4 weeks ago. I currently have a carbon bonnet fitted hence the unfinished steel bonnet repair Engine is really sweet, doesn't burn oil or lose water. Approx 1000miles on new belt tensioner etc. Gear change is the best on a mk2 I've driven (weighted linkage) and fairly recent bushes. Bad bits Over run cut off valve is disconnected so the idle varies by about 300 rpm. This does NOT effect how shes drives though. Originally an 8 valve, I converted it when my original valver was written off. I used the full 16 valve wiring loom, clocks, engine, box, suspension etc plus the upgrades. Really nice car. I'll try and get some pics tomorrow if your interested. Has your sud had much welding? top rails, sills, jacking points etc?

I would like some more pics if you could please. The sud is unbeleivably solid it still has original sills and jacking points original wing rails battery tray the lot. Only needs a small repair to the ns inner wing under wing rail and small bit by the os turret. The rear arches have been done and just need filling and finishing off and thats it rot wise. The engine is sweet only covering 45k and goes well for 1490cc. The rear end is all poly bushed as well. What kind of deal did you have in mind?

I'll send you some pics tomorrow, providing I can see my car,its snowing rather heavily at the moment. Forgot to mention I replaced the clutch approx 4000miles ago and the gearbox was overhauled by the previous owner approx 10,000miles ago. I'd be looking for your car plus £500, given the bodywork needed on yours
