Put it this way - I don't think I've ever seen one in person over here. Sorry bro! (had to add a kiwi'ism in there) There will be a few lurking around, but they'll be expensive. Blenheim was quite a nice town though, only took 1 photo when passing through but people say 'that looks like Miami' so be proud!

yeah it is nice here. A fair bit of art deco about too which goes nicely with the miami bit. Pretty quiet though and its not going anywhere. Moving back to sr corolla coupes, does anyone know if they sold in uk?

I think there is a few here but rarely pop up for sale!
Indeed when I was in NZ for the last year there were LOTS of these floating about! Heaven!!!
I also went through Blenheim a fair few times as I spent last Christmas and new year in Nelson down the road! I even bought a car from that place next to the train station where everyone parks there cars for sale lol

I looked at all the cars for sale in that place by the train track too Bought a car in Nelson in the end. I got back a week and a half ago. I think ANY found over here will be imported tbh, and unlike NZ we don't get many J imports, not like in NZ where every 3rd car is imported! Rysz - I can't imagine they'll be much different from Japan, maybe slightly more as it's less popular.

Pretty rare in UK but they were available here from new. I think they had the 1600 2T engine. There was an earlier version too, the KE25.
BTW I'm another Blenheim hasbeen. Based in Picton,so was in Blenheim every week. Just left in April. That railway car park was the place to be. Bought and sold 3 cars there. I miss my big blue Fairmont Ghia Wagon. One of the locals bought it so it's probably still tooling around. Sweet as.

You know what fellah? I've been researching these too. This retrorides forum is outstanding, and after many years of kitcars and pining over my long-since gone Capri, retrorides has brought on a wave of lusting after 70's J coupes. Trawling the 'net found this in the Republic of Ireland. www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C32726/ Remember where to send your finder's fee ;D Toyota enthusiasts will correct me, but I think that's a KE35. The earlier KE25 does it for me. Darryl
