Hey,
Bought this in a fit of unplanned bidding on Ebay a few weeks ago but only managed to pick it up yesterday. It's Isabel's first retro ride! I've not put it in Readers rides cos, well she's only 11 1/2 months and isn't reading yet
Anyway, I thought it retro-worthy as it probably dates from the 30's or 40's. It's mostly lightweight aluminium though some of the tubes are steel. Plan is to cover the old canvas seat for hygene reasons possibly including a layer of foam to make it more comfy. I'll wire wool the rest to get rid of the white rust and flaky paint (don't want her eating it after all!) but I don't want to fully restore it cos then it'd lose all that patina.
Then she can terrorise the local shops (oh, and car shows ) in a safe but totally non PC, non E-marked vintage set of wheels ;D
