I bought this for £270 on August 21st 2010. Since then I have replaced the front struts and used the dampers that came with replacement struts, handy as the dampers on the car where shot. I have also replaced the drivers door lock and refitted the boot and fuel filler cap central locking motors that were removed by the previous owner. The central locking now works as it should. Both front seats repaced with the correct green seats. I was very lucky to find a pair in vgc in the corecct colour. Full service, done my self and the radiator and cooling fan were replaced with good second hand items. The brake lights have been restored to working condition, useful for an MOT. The only work I have paid for is the welding required at the rear of the sills. A very small patch was needed on each side total cost £60. I have dropped it of for its MOT tommorrow. If it passes I have spent in total £800 on a 520i which is in decent condition. I now have two E28's, my other one is in the picture below.

My wife was in it yesterday and she agreed with you Dez but also added she likes the colour too. She said it was very 70's. I think if it where brown I would agree but it green.
The interior is green cloth, the dash is dark green, lower dash/centre console is light green, green everywhere. I really like the colour for some reason. I can't explain why becasue it horrendous. You certainly cannot miss it in Tesco's carpark.
I had a zinnobarrot 528i once. It was a different shade on every panel.

Indeed the colour is awful - but awesome - and very rare and it even has a wierd name it is called Pusstagrun (Colour Code 194) Green interior also makes it rare. My Rover 75 has a full on green interior

Just be thankful you don't have mine mate. Lachs silver and Dolphin grey - two of the most horrendously boring colours ever. I cant stand grey/silver cars. Thankfully the insides are blue cloth/black leather so once I get inside I'm OK!

black leather actually If I had a 6, I think I'd want it to stand out. Alpine White maybe, or Henna Red. Or orange

Grey leather is awful because it looks like you have an interior made of pensioners' shoes Everything else is okay, especially peasoup green! E28s? Hate the bloody things. Hated my first one and I'm hating my 12th. Hate both of bm0p700f's E28s too

Hi there. I've got an '83 518 the same colour with the same interior. It's so bad it's good. Nice to see another one, I don't think the colour was very popular even back in the day.
