Ive wanted a MK2 for a while now having always owned MK3 fiesta's. I got my chance recently when my RS1800 came up for its mot and failed badly on rust, turns out the winter hadn't been to kind on it. I was a bit gutted as Id had it two years but it had done 166k so I guess it was time to move on. So I started searching ebay and thought I found a tidy looking popular plus which actually turned out to be a bit of a shitter so bit disheartened I carried on searching when I came across a nice looking 1.1 ghia that I went to view and ended up buying and driving home that day I bought it off an old boy who people on another forum have nick named ken so il refer to him as that. The car has done just over 50k with a full service history. Ken had wax oiled the whole car, bought and fitted a new head on the engine! fitted a new water pump because he though it was leaking but turned out to be a leaking hose
I don't have any pictures of when I bought it
Lowered 50mm:
I wasn't really happy with how the front sat so I cut a coil off the front:
Then came some jbl gto speakers in the rear quarter with some halfords stuff that I'm pretty sure is just meccano they repackaged:
Ashely exhaust I got for £60, ratty but a bargain:
I had this fitted at powerflow for £40 and picked up some new wheels. RS accessory 13"x6j:
K&N fitted:
Metallic paint:
Flamming with the ashley on:
I got bored the one night so I took the panhard rob and anti roll bar off my car and sprayed them with some moondust silver spray paint I had laying about from one of my old mk3's. Il let the pics do the talking:
Anti roll bar was a proper child born out of wedlock to refit:
All fitted:
Sporting a rather fashionable head torch:
I fitted an adjustable panhard rod and these arrive in the post the other day, brand new in the box headlight protectors
20 year + old alcohol whipe that hadn't dried out (I opened it)
Fitted:
Adjustable Panhard Rod:
The fact the front was sitting so high was really starting to bother me, so today I cut a coil off of the front springs and I'm so much happier with how its sit now. It will do until I get coilovers.
