I am now the proud owner of this fine beatsy ;D But it is crying out for some new rims. Have considered fitting the banded steels, but think that they would need some major work to get them to fit (will be trying them on though ). Also think that due to the size of the beast that 16's or 17's would be better suited. So, any suggestions? Budget is upto £400 all up inc rubber and bolted to it

I'd go for the Porsche rims advertised in the for sale section with adapters for FCW* option. I fitted some 8x15, ET30 Keskins to mine and it has affected the gearing, but it still does good mileage so me no care o Plus I think these can look a little over wheeled when fitted with 17s, but that's just a personal thing. When are you going to lower it? ;D *Future Change Win

I think it depends on the 15's to be honest, some can look abit small. The weitecs are as low as they go on the back, but there was a different set of coilies sat in the boot to rectify that

Ooooh, it can be so hard rolling out the stylz sometimes

Ronal turbo's I am tempted, but worried that it might be too much silver given the colour of the car (needs a P/shop doing I recon )

I had a B4 1.9TD estate for a year, I need an economical car and the reason I went for the B4 was it was 4x100 so my early BMW rims bolt right on! MiMs FTW, I thought these looked great. 15 x 7 et25 But it had E30 15" BBS most of the time, terrible photos and very dirty! I thought these suited the car so much they looked OEM, except for the BMW badge! 15 x 7 et24 I can't believe I never got round to slamming it, I got my E30 back on the road and sold it...

the vettes would be ace, but i think i'd struggle to get them in my budget with tyres and adaptors Also think that the bently's would be a bit big on a B4 Looking at the pic's, i forget how much mine gas already been lowered ;D

D90's have crossed my mind as they do suit them very well ;D The bandeds will be tried, but I think that 9" et0 on the rear might be a problem

Whoooops reposted from my login.. ha ha I think they look best on 16's mate I had my old B3 on Porsche D90's and it looked amazing... you not going with the MX banded then?? also, they can look quite good on the right 15, my other B3 has ATS Cups on now and its ok, but needs lowering for inspiration here was my old wagons with them on the B4 VR and the B3 before that I've now got 2 wagons both needing the same treatment and hitting with the stick!!

Nah, 9" with ET 0 woudl be quite cool, the D90's were 8" on the rear, with ET (after adaptors etc) of 28 - so only 28mm..
they sat up in the arches if i decked it, with a tiny bit of rolling needed.
9" with ET0 would only stick out 30mm further so wouldnt be poke, but doubt you'd get tuck either.. Still worth a try i guess..

The bandies will need the centres machined out from 54mm to 57.1mm
