Currently I'm on the lookout for a nice Jeep Cherokee, either pre or post facelift.
It's got to be in relatively good condition and work without fault and lower mileage is preferred (i.e. under 120k).
Plenty of MOT would be nice but tax isn't too much of an issue, although I'd prefer it to be road-legal and ready to go.
If anyone knows of anything suitable please let me know as I'm struggling to find the 'right' example at the moment and getting a bit tired of looking.
So chaps, what's out there?

Oh - I'm based near Milton Keynes, so the closer the better but I don't mind a bit of a jaunt to get the right car 4.0 LTD is the spec of choice, although I wouldn't mind trying a 2.5 VM if it's in really nice condition with cruise and leather.... Thanks for your help if you know of anything

Hi Danny, that sounds pretty good actually! If you could get a picture and anything like colour/mileage/MOT/tax, that would be much appreciated - there's no rush though so whenever is convenient. You can reach me on lskingston at hotmail dot com too if need be

I'm toying with the idea of selling mine - it's a 1994 (registered 12 Dec 94!) dark green 4.0 Limited on LPG (90 litre tank in the boot) and is in pretty good order. It needed 2 plates welding on the rear floor around the spring mount for it's last MOT along with front disks and pads so they are all new (MOT was done mid July IIRC) and tax is until end of Dec. Approximately 108k miles on the clock but I'm still using it occasionally so that will go up slightly. I've got a set of road wheels with just legal tyres as well as the MTs that are on it. It has diesel rear springs to cope with the extra weight of the gas tank. Air con works as I had it regassed at the same time as the MOT and it has an Alpine head unit with 6-disc changer in the back. The only thing inside that doesn't work is the electric controls on the passenger seat - apparently this is most likely due to the connector block having corroded away. But I don't sit there so have never been bothered by it... That aside, it has no body rust, not even by the roof bars where they usually go. Oh, its got a modified bike can exhaust too, which isn't really loud, just gives it a nice growl at idle. I'm after £750 for it - I'm only selling as it's not a V8 and I really really want another Classic Rangie again - my head says keep it, but my heart wants the Rangie, and given that I don't really need a car as such, I might as well go with my heart! I can get more photos if you are interested - this is from a recent outing in the peak district (first and only time it's been off-road in my care) Cheers, Martin

Glad you're sorted Lewis, means I get to do the sensible thing and keep mine for a while now! lol
drainoplug - They are standard 'povo spec' Jeep steel wheels - look loads better than the lattice alloys they are normally on (which my road tyres are on)
