You must have just missed me Dave!, The was there all day in my Kadett but left as it started to ran, By the time I got home, put the car in the garage and dried it off it stopped again so I went back and parked right next to that ratty white Metro!.
It was a fab show yet again I thought, I've taken over 300 photos which will take ages to upload! That Red rod with the burn tire on the back won a prize for best burn out at the truck stop.
I took a few photos of that V8 Powered 2CV as well!
Also saw Bodie&Doyle marshalling the cars in at the start as well.

Great set of pics , thanks for taking the time to post them up It's nice to see some familiar old metal is still going strong such as Granzilla and that purple coupe'd Moggy Minor , those two were faves of mine from my old Street Machine reading days . And of course , Henry hirise is looking better than ever !

LOL at grizz moar info needed on the pick up with the viper wheelbase........ ;D full feature in this months CC I went just for the day, and I felt this years show was weird. there were good cars there, just diluted down on the show field by a load of utter drivel I wouldnt even have looked twice at in the carpark. heavy VW contingent too, I'm not complaining about that exactly, some of them were cool cars, but its traditionally a hot rod show, and I bet there was nearly as many VWs on the field this year. all stock campers, not modded stuff, and there was a lot of ropey unmodified classic american and british cars too. it seems theyve started going for quantity over quality so they can brag about the amount of cars on the show field. personally, id rather look at 20 good cars. ile post up my pics later, I took about 50 photos, but only of 6 different cars (granted i missed paying close scrutiny to some cars i wanted to look at because i was purchasing for a customer, and because of the torrential rain.)

I see what your saying Dez, I felt the same about some of them, i was a bit bemused by the 58 plate Focus ST, Mitsubishi L200 Warrior, the Smart cars and the Citroen Saxo that was for sale as well as a few others on the field, I know my Opel was standard but at least it was more fitting then some of the cars on show.
I'm also not a fan of all the Chrysler PT's parked there but that's just personal taste as i know people like to see htem.

It's the NASC nats, not the NSRA - so some diversity is to be expected. I heartily agree with the apparent VW infiltration of everything but it's people through the gate all the same and it's good to broaden horizons (generally). Loving the Espace wheels on the Wartburg, the V8 2CV and the selection of muscle.

i heard there was a few accidents involving 'hot rods' on the way to this show, by looking at some of the cars in the pictures it doesn't surprise me! stick a V8 in a car that is badly engineered and badly put together, and your asking for trouble...the accidents on the way to the show were all 'hot rods' how long before one of these 'thrown together' cars kills someone?!
