Had this a few months now, only just beginning to like it
I didn't really choose this, it was the only cheap car available at the time so it's lucky that a mk2 coupe is my polo of choice The reason for needing a car quick is that I was a bit silly in my skaddy and did this...
So I ended up with a polo. Not exactly where I wanted to be but never mind
A bone stock 1043cc 4 speed coupe
Now I've already got a project so I didn't want another, cheapness is the order of the day
First up was half a Philj kit for £35 including a silly back box (now mostly residing under MM's MX5), some left over glass paint and used the pipe on the end of the back box to make a side exit.
This brings us to here...
Not too bad, took it to Bristol volksfest...
Where someone shouted "REVERSE RAKE" at me from like a 1/4 mile away ;D
So obviously this had to be remedied. Brat-Man took charge of the situation
That's 3 coils out of the front now and how it sat when it was at the gathering
Much better.
RIMS! I hear you cry? well of course I can't bounce and jolt around on standard steels now can I!? I had a set ready for it for the gathering but needed longer wheel bolts and they never made it
So ordered some as soon as I got paid and yesterday they arrived!
It didn't take long to decide cleaning the garage was a waste of time and getting some new shoes on the polo would be a much better use of my time
MUCH better! although there were some clearance issues...
By this time it was getting quite late but carried on anyway. Took both the arch covers and the wheel tub covers off and beat the arches back with my my favorite adjustment stick. Haven't managed to get the arch covers back on yet but we have clearance at least
Next on the list is a Webber to get rid of the awful pooberg and then...
Thanks for reading!
