funnily enough ,i also saw an mg montego today,it was white with what looked like 17's on it.the wheels were black with a white edge,in place of a polished rim i guess.looked pretty good for a montego too.i thought then that i hadnt seen one for ages and then up pops one on here.are you phsycic or summat?

I saw a tidy looking Montego on an 'm' plate this morning, and also thought "i haven't seen one in a while"! must be national drive your montego day or something.....  ;D |

When I worked at a garage in my youth I used to collect Dave Hill's (Slade) Montego Turbo from his house, that was fast.
I havent seen a big Citreon CX for ages. I used to want one of the big safari versions, they were hoooge!

You're RIGHT! I haven't seen a Montego for AGES. I've been keeping an eye out for them too... Not even a late-registration estate "Clubman" or anything...
Haven't seen a CX on the road for quite some time either...

There was a CX parked oposite my Skoda in my college car park a few weeks ago, took a pic on my phone to askwhat it was. Funny the only two retro cars were parked together  |

I saw a Monty this morning... red with duct tape rear arches... ;D I wish I had some pictures of the CX estate we made into a 4-door pick up at the garage years ago...  |

Funny enough Montegos came up in conversation on the green laning trip. A number of the lads, including some on the trip use the turbo diesel engine in the Land Rovers. We cuts the rest up |

Still see plenty of Montegos and Meastros in battered condition round my part of world (i.e. in Matt/dull dark blue, red or cream paint, no rear arches ;D and rust/rot all around front and rear windows etc etc.).  |

I've seen quite a few montego's recently... including a late 'clubman' diesel estate... which can be easily spotted by the telltale rust-trail and plumes of thick black smoke eminating from their exhaust.

Did anyone else have the Matchbox CX with the plastic opening tailgate? It was the same colour as the first blue one  Oh & I pass on a regular basis a 'V' reg Maestro - I guess judging by the doubled up badging on the bonnet & the grille that it was one of those that had been crated-up for export but never made it & ended up being sold off in kit form ....... or something like??? |

Yes wasn't the Maestro or Montego going to be sold in Romania in the mid 90's? A sort of Rival to Dacia |
